I always go to the chamber when getting hotel information. Its quick and you get a desk number and not a call service.

The treatment in this city is horrible. I'm forced to wait across the street while waiting for the Greyhound bus ticket counter to open. All because I don't have a ticket. Denighed refreshment and seating , and I a disabled senior citizen. I would tell anybody to avoid Sparks and especially public transportation.

Reno is a miserably hot place to live if you don't have a car. Imagine bicycling to work in work clothes in the blazing hot sun in forest fire smoke. And then working in a pizza shop in 120 degree weather with a broken air conditioner. Absolutely the most miserable experience you'll ever have in your entire life and you can die of heat stroke. Transit is limited and car services are expensive. On top of that rentals are very expensive and people are asking for top dollar. And you can get knocked out unconscious and robbed by grifters which happened to a friend of mine. And the locals there are unsympathetic as they drive around in their air conditioned cars and live in their air conditioned houses and vacation in Lake Tahoe on the weekends and act like the unsafe working conditions with no air conditioner are no big deal. Do not believe any misinformation about Reno being a pleasant place to live and work because for many the working conditions are so unsafe and unhealthy like working in 120 degrees with no air conditioning during work and breaks so this couldn't be farther from the truth!
