This woman has NO HEART! She is the dirtiest, most vindictive divorce attorney I've ever encountered. Her clients don't even like her because she attacks their ex's using dirty tricks and embellishments. She lied and twisted the truth about my ex so much that our minor children are still getting therapy to work through their trauma. She does not care about our "new norm" only about her pocket book. BEWARE! She is a disgusting human who has zero integrity. She will ruin your life even if you "win." Stay Away!

Breckenridge represented a former colleague who, by the end of his divorce, didn’t even like how she represented him. Had he known how nasty she was he would’ve never hired her. She built her case on hearsay & character assassination through excessive motion/hearings to exhaust his & his ex’s bank accounts. She included copious amounts of false accusations without facts to back them up & the judge took her at her word rather than fact checking. Sadly, it seems Washoe Family Courts “work this way.” Kathy pretends to be a caring citizen & child advocate, but the only thing she’s interested in is getting a “win” at all cost. If she truly cared about the children in divorce proceedings she wouldn’t treat them like their parent’s property. Kathy has become desensitized and has forgotten that these are REAL families whose lives are partially in her hands.

Kathleen is professional, experienced, respectful, honest, and fair. Kathleen was highly recommended to me by trusted colleagues. Like any attorney, Kathleen bills by the hour. Kathleen did not create contention or "drama." Her expertise and style (a strong advocate when necessary; willing to negotiate when in my best interest) resulted in lower billable hours. While most family law issues are "messy" and complicated, mine had the added layer of my faith beliefs. Kathleen gracefully managed to balance required legal processes and mandates, my best interests (from a legal perspective), and my faith-based needs and personal goals. [No small task!] My settlement was fair; allowed my children and me to stay in our home and continue to live a comfortable lifestyle.
