Had a procedure done in Dr. Helfman's office. He did an amazing job and was very thorough in his explanation and surgical procedure. So happy with results and that I have a dermatologist who is so knowledgeable.

I came in for a routine check up. My cheek bone was broken and visibly bruised and swollen with a black eye. I asked Dr. Helfman to avoid touching that part of my face. I tried to point out a few bumps on my face I wanted him to examine and he pushed my hand away twice. Not listening to what I was trying to tell him. Then while examining my face he applied pressure so hardly to the broken side of my face I had to tell him to stop twice and push his hand away. Terrible bedside manner and cost me around $600 with no insurance. He examined me for about 15 minutes. P.S. I declined the full body examination that Dr. Helfman offered me.

This guy is a scam and a perv. He examined my privates for skin cancer. He led me to believe I have a significant likelihood of problems due to my heritage (I knew this through my education). After being examined by another dermatologist (who did not ask to see my privates), I was told I have little to be concerned about. He did several surgeries on my parents which, I think, may have been unnecessary though he claims they were melanoma cancers. None of these cases were found on moles where melanomas are normally located. I think hes overtly diagnosing problems to fool unsuspecting patients into surgical procedures. Beware and get a second opinion! Gentlemen, tell him your privates have not been in the sun!!

Excellent staff and doctor. My wife & I were seeing someone else in Carson and decided to switch and are much happier here. We were very appreciative of the very thorough skin exam and will definitely be back.
