Today at Absolute Dental, I had the best experience in a dental office I've ever had. There was a new front desk person, and I was worried because Jobie was great. But let me tell you Makayla was so incredible. She made me feel at home instantly. Sharon was really helpful with insurance stuff and they made me feel like we were longtime friends. Then Kenzi took me back and took my X-rays. She consistently asked me if it felt okay and if I was comfortable. She casually talked about growing up locally and rodeoing and it felt so personal, like we'd known each other instead of just meeting. Dr. Wang came in and fixed a chipped tooth I got earlier this week. I felt so self conscious about it since it was my front tooth. I closed my eyes as I listened to the drill expecting nerve pain at any moment. When I opened my eyes it was already over. She handed me the mirror and I forgot which front tooth it was. IT WAS FLAWLESS. She looks young but clearly is a phenomenal Dentist. I was then escorted back to Mak's chair for a cleaning and it was so cute. She had a dental hygienist barbie and a tooth fairy door in her room. You can tell she can take care of patients of all ages. She began talking about my X-rays and she never made me feel bad about my problem areas. I'm not exaggerating when I say she had the gentlest hand I've ever had in the dental chair. I typically have incredible sensitivity and hadn't been to the dentist in a while. She scraped off every bit of calculus and my teeth feel so smooth. I could not recommend any office more highly than that of Absolute Dental in Minden. I will be recommending it to everyone I know. Thank you so much

I'm editing my review because I'm happy with my new partial denture.
Dr. Wang is super nice and although they should use a different lab, I'm satisfied with the end result although I feel it took way too long.
Anyway, thank you.

Absolutely terrible place their old fashion. The doctor doesnt know what hes doing. Hes all talk they give you the prescriptions in paper still they cant send a prescription to any pharmacy. they did a root canal on me that did not work Ive gone back twice because of root canal I still have pain on this tooth and all they do is give you more antibiotics. Do not go there. You will regret it. This want to be dentist mightve been good long ago, but hes past his prime hes doing things in the past. He is no good.stay away!!!!

Had two terrible experiences here - the first for my consultation and the second for my wisdom teeth extraction. Had the Dr. asked me during my consultation for this procedure, he would have known how I feel about dental work, especially tooth extraction (which is extremely anxious). Instead, he spent the entire consultation being rude to his assistants in front of me, and cutting me off and not letting me ask questions about the procedure. I requested nitrous at least a week before my extraction (the receptionist said I could have waited until day of, even) due to the building nervousness. I live an hour away so of course, I had a driver with me. Showed up, again, the Dr. was rude to his staff in front of me, and they didn't have a part that they needed because according to him, "someone threw it away," to which I get concerned that a medical office doesn't carry at least TWO vital parts needed to operate certain equipment?? At this point I am in no way feeling taken care of by him or his staff, and his patient care is terrible, only saying things to try to make himself look better in the situation rather than comforting me. I ended up taking some pill that would cause me to calm down (it didn't) and would cause me to not remember anything from my day (an option I didn't want, and again, didn't work as I remembered everything.) I was clearly distraught and the front desk lady was very rude, scoffing at me to "look up the pill on your phone." I was not refunded for the nitrous, either. Oh, and right before my procedure, the Dr. said his front desk lady was "an idiot" for telling me apparently wrong information. So unprofessional from start to finish ... the worst dental experience I've ever gone through. Dr. James needs to learn patient care again and he needs to cultivate a more caring environment.
