Dr Wood saved my life and extended it! I am only 34 years old with an MVP from birth, My original cardiologist told me after my Electrocardiogram that my mitral valve needed to be replaced. And would consult with surgeons on my behalf. He referred me to Dr Wood, who told me immediately that he could most likely repair my valve by only seeing pictures of my valve! (The video wasn't working and he needed video to comfirm) I decided to jump into surgery as soon as possible and get this done. He scheduled me 6 days after my appointment with him, and right before surgery told me "I saw the video! And I am pretty sure I can repair it" and goes on to say "I have a 94% success rate on repair." I was so excited to never have to have another heart surgery again. I said: "Yess please anything you can do that would be incredible!" Sure enough I woke up with a full repair on my mitral valve and my heart immediately functions like it should. I went from running on 10% battery tired ALL THE TIME, to feeling like I just had iron mans heart installed and have crazy energy now that I almost don't know what to do with myself. I am so beyond blessed, and feel so grateful to have a surgeon like Dr. Wood, who puts in the work he does to go above and beyond to help his patients. Thank you so much to your team and Aurora especially, who has been so good to me everytime I call. I cannot thank you enough.

Dr. Michael Wood is a rock star of a cardio-surgeon! I was told by three cardio doctors that my coronary blockages were inoperable due to a poor heart bypass over ten years ago. Following an angiogram to diagnose my new blockages, he offered, "I got this! We will fix you right up!" And he did! He performed a quad CABG bypass on me and his care is second to none! I thank God for Dr. Wood's intervention!

Being from the East Coast, I am not a big fan of Las Vegas healthcare period. However, this particular surgeon is amazing and I am very lucky to have had him as my surgeon!
