image We sent my 3 year old here for preschool and absolutely loved it! The teachers and staff were always so friendly and helpful, our daughter never wanted to leave! In just a few months (and only attending 2 days/week) she learned a ton of songs, how to spell and write her name, the alphabet, counting up to 20, and much more. Their curriculum is strong, and isn't influenced by religion as some others are. There are ample opportunities for parents to get involved (fall festival, classroom parties, holiday parties, field day, etc). We strongly recommend this school to anyone looking for a strong learning institution with a friendly staff that becomes like family and a safe atmosphere.

image I should have done my review sooner, but better late than never. My daughter Jenna attended Mountain View from kindergarten through fifth grade, and she loved it. (She's in 8th grade now.) Class sizes are small and it is very much a community in that school. All the teachers know all the children and the children all know one another, regardless of grade. The religious foundation that my daughter received at Mountain View has helped to shape the person she is today, and I'm grateful for that. We love the ladies in the front office and my daughter was always crazy about Mr. Schneider, the principal. He takes the time to get to know each child. Every Monday he would ask Jenna if she had played softball over the weekend and how she did. In fact, he even surprised her when he showed up at one of her softball games. To say that it made her day is an understatement. While I don't think the education she received at Mountain View is better or worse than what she would have received anywhere else, the foundation she did receive shaped who she is. She is in a charter school today and is a National Junior Honor Society member, so clearly Mountain View did something right. I am glad my daughter attended Mountain View. Many of the teachers (current and former), teachers' aides and other staff still stay in touch via social media to see how Jenna is doing. Can't ask for better.

image WARNING!!!  DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS SCHOOL!  You have a certain expectation when you send your child to a Christian school - this school nowhere close to meet that expectation. This has got to be one of the most judgmental group of teachers/staff I have ever met! If they don't like your child, they will sit your child in the back of the class and literally ignore them the entire year! (have pictures and video evidence of this) I am not exaggerating, this actually happened! The kindergarten teacher  should not be a teacher anywhere, but guess what? Her husband is the "Principal" at this school so she gets away with whatever she wants!  Totally wasted $7000 for one year at this school, and there is no way I can give this school even a slightly good recommendation at all! It's a very "clicky" school, staff and parents act like a bunch of high school kids, the more money you have and the more money you are willing to "donate" to their church and school, they more they like you.  We were looking for a school as an alternative to CCSD's horrible school system, but holy moly this school is not it! You live and learn, and what we learned is that this school did not meet our expectations! Walk away very quickly from this place! Also, they only have one class per grade K-5 with small classroom sizes, with the average size of the classroom decreasing in grades 3-5. This review is based on our experience at this facility and based on facts.  Our child did not and does not need any special "services" (i.e. IEP, etc) as suggested in the principals response to this review, that was a low blow from such a self proclaimed man of God. Since moving from this school our child has excelled far beyond our expectations. While you will note the principals response to our honest review of our experience with this school, we will not be bullied by his remarks. Bullying should never happen, this clearly tells you what type of person the principal is when they bully a person for leaving an honest review. Not a very Godly man at all.  We all have a right to our opinions, and not only is this review our opinion, but it is also based on facts. The purpose of Yelp is for real people to give real, honest reviews of businesses and services, and while the school may not like this review, it is honest and based on facts as they related to OUR experience at this location. Others may have different opinions.
