Its my local place to shop. Rating two stars for the staff minus the stellar produce workers who always go above and beyond. They consistently forget a lot of items on my drive up order causing me to go back. When I called to inquire about my lost items last time the person on the phone was very unhelpful and said she wasnt trained to know if I could be refunded for anything and was blaming her co-workers for their mistake versus apologizing stating their ignorance in not seeing the items that needed to be brought out. Last time I was in store I waited over 30 mins for someone to unlock formula followed by the cashier actively FaceTiming someone my entire checkout which was super uncomfortable and unprofessional.

I mean, its a grocery store. They do a fine enough job. The staff is generally helpful. Shoutout to the floral department. But my 3 stars refers mostly to the Kroger monopoly and the absolutely disgusting standards by which they accept/reject produce. Ive attached pictures, I know there are simple folk that think this is a good thing, but this kind of uniformity comes as the cost of exuberant waste. And frankly, it looks like a dystopian nightmare. All produce, perfectly uniform. Nature doesnt do like that. Very freaky experience. Putting tomatoes in a bag felt surreal because they were all the exact same. I want variety! Different shapes, sizes, colors. Respect the farmers and take all nutritious produce. Respect home cooks that can handle meaningless blemishes on tomatoes.
TL;DR - the uniformity of the produce, mixed with my experiences in sustainable agriculture, caused me suicidal despair. Monopolies must be destroyed.
