City Light Church

I wasnt expecting a concert like feeling when worship started. Bass was too loud and worship team was more entertaining than a worship. There was one little blonde girl who was singing that jumped up and down half the time. Even the pastor got up on stage and did a 15 minute solo! Seemed like they wanted to empress the audience than sing to God. We just left a mega church and this had the same symptoms of one(but just 100x smaller). Oh yeah, didnt see one person walking in with a bible in their hand. Hate to say this but this is everything a church shouldnt be. This is what we call a feel good church.

This church has been amazing for me. It allowed me to start my journey Of actually getting to know Jesus and building a relationship with him. However, let me warn you, If you were trying to build a relationship with Jesus, only by going to church, you will still feel a disconnect. You have to pursue him with all your heart, as it says in the Bible. That was when things really changed for me. I joined one of their small groups and it was amazing so then I went more Small groups, Started reading my Bible consistently, started praying consistently and God finally answered my prayer of If you are real God, please show yourself in a way that only I can understand. I have prayed that for so long, but After going to masses, I felt like things were starting to click for me, and I came across a YouTube video that talked about. If you dont feel connected to God, a lot of times, its because youre not putting forth the proper effort in that relationship to actually get to know him. So The church is amazing, just know that if you go to the church, expecting it to Establish the relationship with Jesus that you might be looking for, it wont do that. It will be an amazing steppingstone towards doing that, but you still need to pursue the Lord with all your heart and That means legitimate effort. Ask yourself, How much time have you spent in the last three days genuinely pursuing a relationship with God?

So happy my son and his family introduced me to City Light Church, Pastor Jabin's energy and amazing spirit filled me. I'm looking forward to being a part of this wonderful group of Christians. Feeling Blessed.
