West Craig Road Baptist Church

Im sure there are good people at this church but its also very cliquish and gossipy, at least among certain groups. The church portrays itself as very fundamentalist and traditional, to an extent that would probably seem extreme to the average Christian, and yet they allow and encourage this childish gossip and ostracism of certain people. This kind of behavior has the power to completely ruin relationships especially when the target has no chance to defend themselves. Ive visited about a dozen times and I tried to go there full-time, but neither myself nor my dad ever felt comfortable there knowing how much gossip and outright lies had admittedly been spread there by my abusive mom. And yes, my abusive mom continues to be welcome there and continues to brag about her abuse with other so-called fundamentalists. She also got divorced which Im sure the church would disagree with doctrinally. Again, wheres this fundamentalism now? Only when its convenient I guess. On a broader note, the music is horrendous. It literally sounds hundreds of years old and with a broken down, never-tuned piano, its almost creepy. Take that creeped out feeling to heart and find another church.
