My son was in Desert Hope Detox for5 day. On December 21, 2023 he was supposed to be transferred to a 3 month program. The hospital waited to long and the bed was given to someone else's. So the just dropped my son off if front of a homeless shelter, not knowing if there were bed available. Had the did the job and at least called the rehab things could have been different. There was zero concern. It was cold, raining and my sons 35th birthday. Don't believe everything they tell you. There's really only concern when the insurance is being charged.

The staff is really incredible. I felt very supported and very safe, however American Addiction centers lied to me, and told me that my treatment was 100% covered. Then the day I got moved up to the second level of residential I was told that I had a $3,000 out of pocket payment. I had to leave because I could not afford it. I don't blame desert treatment centers but if you get there through American Addiction centers be careful. I heard stories about couples who were told that they could share a room and that wasn't true. I also heard stories about people who were told it was $145 for their ticket here only to find out when they got here that it was $700! American Addiction centers will do whatever they can to get bodies in the place just beware

Decent program, but petty af for couples. They will mislead you saying it's a couples rehab and when u get here that's not the case. My spouse and I flew 1200 miles here and we can't even hold hands no hugs. With out getting into trouble. Then ten days after getting here they said my insurance wasn't approved. It was approved to get me here. And basically wanna kick me out on the streets 1200 miles away from anybody I know. With no money. Find another place. They haven't fixed the lights in my room. The vents in the bathrooms don't Work in most the room so with that not working is going to cause mold which in turn is going to make people sick. Not to mention while trying to stay sober people here are messed up on meds nodding off in class, makes it hard to not think about getting high knowing I'm around other people around me still messed up.

This place is amazing. Great place to detox and get clean no matter the DOC (drug of choice). Councilors, staff, nurses and TPA's are the best. Very clean and comfortable. I was a self pay and didn't have to deal with insurance stuff but they are exactly what I needed. I came from Tennessee and it was worth the trip. That said, it doesn't matter what they say or do you have to want to change. And, if you do I would highly recommend Desert Hope in Las Vegas. Update: Almost a year later I'm still clean. To me this proves that they work. The best of the best.
