My first contact with Foundation Assisting Seniors_ Medical equipment for short-term loans to senior knee walkers was with Nicole/Back office VOLUNTEER She was nice, Polite, Good communication. Has helped me to borrow equipment. quickly Shipping cost 2 ways $20.00 is an affordable cost.
And I would like to Thank you VICKI / Manager for helping with transportation to my house on 4-5-2024. It was a special urgent case because I had a follow up with my D.R. on 4-10-2024.
I admire the efficient organization, fast working system. and has very good coordination

I am disappointed in the organization of picking up donations. I called wanting to donate - a motorized hospital bed, walker, wheelchair, cane, bathchair, and a bedside toilet. I believed based on their mission this would be wanted & appreciated. I gave my number the first time that was going to be given to the men who would pick it up (2 months ago) with no return call. The man that took that call was not glad I called to donate and was floundering on questions I had regarding pick up rather more concerned it was almost noon and they were closing soon.
I called again today talked to a woman that seemed more inconvenienced by my wanting to donate more than anything else. She said she didnt schedule pickups and the guys would call when they could. I asked what that meant when they could she replied with they do drop offs in morning and pickups in evening. OK so time frame for return call ? Well they need to take down bed and that takes time. Good news bed is already taken down well does it work ? If not they just throw it away yes it works. Back to question when would I expect a call back to set up time for pick up for donation to your foundation?
Well if you want it done today , they dont have time No I dont need it done today. When can I expect a call from the men to arrange pick up ? I dont know when they get around to it. She was rude , unhelpful , and really ungrateful I called to make a donation. They need to organize better and be more appreciative of people wanting to support them. I waited on them for two months learning today no end in sight. I have never had people at any foundation ever behave so rudely, not have better organization and a better protocol for providing information for people wanting to donate. I will be sharing my experience with others and just talked to friend who suggested I write this review. and warn them to chose another foundation to donate equipment or money to as this one has no respect for people that want to contribute.
It was disappointing and unfortunate. I did not expect this at all. The person who heard of this foundation to me was embarrassed for even telling me about it and will be sharing as well. Bottom line . A foundation needs to run in a professional & friendly manner at ALL TIMES. Being kind should go without saying.
I will update after lady who shared info about foundation with me hears back from the mass email she sent the foundation to for consideration to donate to. What experiences others have had. Terribly disappointed.
