image We were passing through town and pulled into the museum to stretch our legs. Super worth the $5 admission fee. It's amazing what all they've collected here. If you've got the time you should pay them a visit.

image It is an excellent first-class museum in small town USA. It is evident that thousands of volunteer hours by talented people have gone to make this a truly memorable experience. Take the time to see for yourself.

image Every Second Thursday of the month is a lecture. Docent Mary Kammann sells memberships and if signing up receives (2) gifts, Linda Lechien helps out distribute the gifts.
Your money is well spent, including both museums one in Genoa and Gardnerville. Extras, check out your calendar of events for the Holidays.
Cookie sale December 2nd. All homemade cookies, Gingerbread House contests, Lightening of the Christmas Trees. Volunteering is the key to success in the museum.

image Throughout my worldly travels whenever the color green is mentioned tend to think about the greenery of forests and plants. Exception being ,( some pun intended ) the 36th state Nevada. A timeless place where green meant alien beings. A place where travelers were faced with the conflicts of time gaps. A gap somewhere between the the 36th state and the Area 51 territory. I would imagine it would have something to do with the other two associated greens. Pot and Money. Which is not all bad. Whenever I think of money I think about people. Such as the Washington's, Abrahams, and uncle Ben Franklin. Just as I associate pot with Harry Potter. It's the ultimate mathematical equation that cancels out the root of two evils. As there are good people in money, just as there is good magic in Potters.
Historically speaking, 1935-36 was a key point year in time. As the 36th state became a resource of silver mining. It also became the last year of the Lady Peace Silver Dollar.
Carson City is indeed a capitol hill of historian buildings. However the Carson Valley Historical Society got me pondering the untold history. As in all my times in Carson City there was never a mention of their neighboring town of Carson Valley. Wizardry speaking, it brings up the question of time when Secret Society becomes a Historical Society. When stories of silver became silver legacy. I believe I found the answer to be 35. The number of years the US mint ceased production of the US dollar. The same number of landmarks along the Carson Trail between the capital and the Valley. This year it was in the form of sparkling green lit trees.
