Secretary of State

I visited the office of the Secretary of State in the Nevada Capitol Building today to determine how to renew my Business License since they have moved away from their former office on the corner of North Carson Street and Musser. I met Christine in the office front desk and she was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful in assisting me to renew my license. If every state employee were like Christine we would indeed have a very efficient and helpful State governmenr. Thank you Christine and God bless you!

Im almost certain nobody works the phones. Ive waited 4 time well over an hour and nobody answers the phone. My LLC has been processing for 2 months which is rather a while. Cant work until my LLC is processed. Almost certain they have too long of breaks and dont get any work done.

Nevada claims to be all about minimal state taxes and to be business friendly. But if you are a small business, they find every possible way to charge exorbitant annual fees, fines, etc. Expect to send the NV SOS alone $1000+ per year for basic things like your annual list. So don't believe the hype. Nevada is just as much of a money honey badger as any other state.
