Both ladies that I interacted with at the front desk were fantastic, Helpful and full of all the information I needed.
Ate at the restaurant portions were giant and prices were unbelievably inexpensive for breakfast and supper. What a gem of a find!!!

Room was a bit shabby. Two outlets did not work at all. Overall the room was ok. The food throughout the casino was abysmal! Not good at all! And the lack of a good cup of coffee was astonishing. Not worth the price I'd say.

If you're less about the Vegas life and more about hiking and/or sight seeing, then this is a great place to stay. The location is only a few minutes from the Hoover Dam and about an hour from the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. The rooms and hotel are rather dated, but besides the issues with the actual room I was in, the overall experience provided some 80's nostalgia. Many parts of the hotel smell like a bowling alley. The scent of cigarettes lingers on the walls and hallways of the bottom floor and the elevators, but did not have the same smell on our floor or in our bedroom. Our room in particular needed the window resealed so we had to shove a door card in the seal of the window to keep it from squealing as the wind blew against it. The beds were pretty comfortable. The pillows could be better, but overall I slept better than I sleep at most hotels. So that was definitely a plus to the squeaky window and one squeaky bed. The bathrooms don't have fans or a switch for an individual light in the bathroom. So if you or your partner gets up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, you'll have to flip the switch that lights up both the bathroom and the sink area that sits outside the bathroom. I just used my phone flashlight not to disturb anyone, but nonetheless that was less than ideal. The ladies at the store in the hotel are super polite and helpful and in general every encounter I had with staff was kind and respectful. The house keeping people did not do room calls early in the morning or at all, but the front desk would call and check-in to make sure everything was going ok and that you didn't need more supplies. The gym has a cable machine, cardio equipment, several adjustable benches, and dumbbells up to 75 lbs. So if you need to get a workout in, its more substantial than most hotel gyms I've experienced. All in all, its a great place to stay, especially for the price. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown Las Vegas.
