Went to dump 1 item, would have taken 2 minutes to unload and got turned away during operating hours bc it was a hand unload.

Government at its finest. We called on a Saturday morning and the automated message says they close at noon on Saturday. We drove over from Plattsmouth and arrived at 11:45 am. We were told the last load is at 11:30. When we mentioned that their automated message doesn't say that, we were told it's online. Why would I look online if I had already called? They are the rudest, most unfriendly people I have had the displeasure of interacting with in recent times. It would have taken us 5 minutes to unload our items. They could have cared less. The automated message needs to be updated. I would avoid this place.

Horrible service here. Arrived at 11:28 unaware of the 11:30 cutoff time. Had a a trailer in front of us waiting in line. The gate the gatekeeper pulls in front of us sitting in line with his side by side and tells us all hand unloaded items had to be done by 11:30 and we would be turned away. We had one large piece of furniture with two guy in a pick up truck. The sign says at the discretion of the gatekeeper. I tried to speak with him he was highly rude and unprofessional. Sarpy county needs to do better. We deserve better.

If you can go literally anywhere else, do it. These self entitled, arrogant, and rude people do not deserve a second of your time or your money. I've been coming out to this dump(no pun intended)since 2015. A year or two ago, they randomly added a law that you now must wear a high visible sweatshirt or vest in order to dump your trash. Now, all-of-a-sudden, if you don't have your truck tarped, they're going to add another fee. The guy claimed that it was a thing since 1995. However, I have always gone there without a tarp and have never been charged this fee. The price to dump when I first started going was $15, then suddenly and randomly, it jumped to $20. I was just told today that it's going up to $25 starting in July. They will tell you that the city council voted to raise the rate. What they won't tell you is that the city council never would have cared about the rate if somebody from the landfill hadn't come to them begging for more money.

Showed up at 11:31 on Saturday, December 2nd. The guy at the scale rudely told me the landfill closed at noon starting December 1st and all loads needed to be emptied by 11:30. Google notes the landfill closes at 4:30. I told him the online times and that it would only take a few minutes to unload my SUV. He was rude and unbending. Poor customer service and a bad Sarpy County representative of the NEs good life.
