Lamb HOA is not part of Lamb Real Estate, so no reflection on Marks business. Ill start off with the positives: Most of the people are nice to work with They do a good job managing the financials The negatives: They lack fairness in their business practices with a lack of judgement. Same rules dont apply to everyone in the neighborhood. They make allowances for some homeowners and tell others no when there are covenant violations. They have no enforceable standards In violation management when they dont know how to handle complaints from unhappy homeowners not wanting to follow the rules. Recently the board sent out a newsletter asking for violations to be reported. Ive logged dozens of violations in a couple of months. Instead of enforcing some of them by our governing documents theyve allowed people to continue to do what they shouldnt be doing! Total contradiction of whats being asked for homeowners to do because they dont want to handle the complaints of those doing the wrong. This is an urban village with unique parking problems. By fire code regulations we have to set parking standards for everyone to comply. After years of cleaning up the lots from previous bad decisions made, without their help, now they just allow for things to occur because they do not care enough to enforce. Its really insulting to someone who worked so hard for their community to see such lazy effort after my service. They also promote hostility between board members and other homeowners by giving out contact information phone and address to residents that were upset. I felt the need to drop from the board because of the environment they fostered. Angry homeowners showing up at my door during work hours and confronting me in common areas. Much better ways and more professional ways to handle situations like that. While serving on the board, I had bylaw changes passed to protect homeowners that serve on the board from retaliation from other homeowners, and to set standards for those that serve. Each time their legal counsel has refused to proceed with the changes even with board approval. Seems like they leave the door wide open to lawsuits by not giving issues like that the proper attention. A lot of property management responsibility is deflected to the board due to lack of knowledge, care, and experience. Our current board doesnt care enough to look at the big picture or have any property oversight. So things dont get done or followed through. When your property only gets mowed twice in the month of July something should be done about it. We did a lot of landscaping last year on the property and none of its been cared for this year. Some plants have died off and weeds have grown in many of those areas. Pretty frustrating when I tried to do something nice for my community that I served. I could go on and on. Please reach out if you need more input.
