CHI Health Quick Care - Stony Brook

I went in to have my finger looked and had to wait half an hour. He asks me what happened, I explained that I had a nail puncture my index finger. He said I think you need an antibiotic. First I need to get you an X-ray to make sure you did not break it. Even if you broke it, all we could do is put a splint on it. I asked him if he could give me an antibiotic. Then he says let me check with my associate. His associate says I need to go to the ER and I will probably need an X-ray, surgery on my finger and drip iv. I walked out disappointed. I went to a different urgent care, they told me right away I should have come sooner, they would take an X-ray, give me an antibiotic injection and prescribe me oral antibiotics. They did what they said, reviewed the X-ray and told me to follow up if it gets worse.

Save yourself the headache and go see an actual doctor. I was in the room for about 5 minutes total, the PA asked me which antibiotic he should prescribe, I paid my $10 copay, and I was on my way. Imagine my surprise when I got a bill for $160 because they are coded as a family practice primary care clinic and refuse to correct this because it gets them more money. This place and the billing office are an absolute disgrace and an embarrassment to the medical professions.

went in with my mom for her to get tested for the flu. she ended up getting a double nose bleed because the lady stuck the qtip so aggressively in BOTH SIDES of her nose :) she even was holding her head so she couldnt pull back much. so of course, as anyone wouldve been. my mom was mad. save yourself a trip. dont go... yikes.

I have been seen at this clinic, was able to be seen right away. I'm very familiar with both providers and they provide excellent care. Very patient and understanding.

Worst place EVER. Seriously question the knowledge of the the Practitioner on duty that day. I will not return to this place EVER. My daughter who suffers chronic ear infections literally had 2 b seen by our primary (she was booked solid on this day) the very next morning 4 what I said was an ear infection the day b4. After 16 yrs and 5 ear surgeries I KNOW when my kid has an ear infection. So save urself the time, effort, energy of this place.
