Piccolo's Heating & Cooling

We just bought a new house. Piccolo's did a inspection and servicing before we bought it through the seller. Gave it a clean bill of health. Ha! After we moved in the furnace has been making loud clicking/knocking noises before coming on. I can hear these upstairs. I called Piccolo to ask how did they miss this/is this new or something - only to find a rude person on the other end and blaming me for expecting some kind of warranty on the furnace. It's been only 3 weeks. He lectured me on about how furnaces can give out anytime. The furnace is only 6 years old. He said I can pay them another 80 bucks for them to come out a look at it. Right. Worst service ever! Rude and uncooperative. Will never call them!

We woke up this morning to a warmer than usual home with our vents blowing out warm air rather than the usual cool air. With a projected high in high 90's today, I jumped out of bed fearing the worst. Thermostat reading was 83 deg in the morning and rising, while our AC was set to 78 deg. I checked our filter and it looked fine (slightly dusted, but nothing extreme). I checked our fins and coil, also no problems. Went outside to check the fan and found what I thought was the problem - buzzing sound, no fan movement. I called a different HVAC company at first based on a quick google search but they weren't available until tomorrow (with today's high of 96 deg, tomorrow was not an option with 3 kids and a hot wife (literally and figuratively). So, I called a friend who told me about Piccolo's Heating and Cooling and how they've always been there for him and his family's HVAC when needed. I called and spoke to Debbie who was not only professional but very understanding of our predicament. She said she would try to have someone over by that afternoon to take a look. I was immediately impressed at their responsiveness and service. Within the hour, their tech (Kenny) had arrived (much sooner than expected). He very quickly diagnosed the problem - not the fan, but a non-functional capacitor. Without wasting any time, he fixed it and even washed down the AC Unit leaving it in better shape than when he arrived. I was floored at his level of expertise and professionalism. My family is now enjoying what can only be described as an arctic blast coming from our previously warm vents. Thanks to Piccolos Heating and Cooling for making one of the hottest days of the summer and very cool and happy one for my family!
