I have taken two of my daughters to shows at the Orpheum Theater and booked rooms at Magnolia. I have not been disappointed! At check-in on Sunday, we were given a bump from a two queen bed sized room to a king suite which was a pleasant surprise! The suite was beautiful and had easy access to gated parking lot! Keeping in mind this is an old building with a historical background, it has been and continues to be refreshed into a very clean, safe, and friendly venue to stay! I want to thank the young woman that checked us in who was polite and kindly offered to show me where our room was as well as a brief history of this section! I highly recommend Magnolia Hotel! I may not always get that "bump up", however, it wouldn't matter as I am more interested in the service, cleanliness, and safety of my stay! And definitely cannot forget the extra regarding proximity to the theater or other places. Thank you Magnolia for a great stay!

All in all I think the Magnolia hotel is pretty awesome. I feel it may by a bit pricey for what it is, but the staff are incredible, its fairly unique and interesting, and its close to downtown.

Subpar. Had key issues, once for the self parking, and once for trying to get into the room itself. No amenities other than expensive pricing at the restaurant. The food was ok, desserts were disappointing. No trash bags in the trash cans in the room. TVs were older, needs updating. Noticed a huge stain in the hallway on the 2nd floor, and the rugs in common area were in bad shape. I expected more considering how much it cost to stay. Location was convenient. Save your money, go to the Hilton.

Recently stayed here for March Madness & the hotel was beautiful. It was in close proximity to a lot of restaurants and walking distance from a dollar general. If youre in town for the an event at the Chi Health Center, the hotel is a 20+ minute walk but could easily be uber or driven to. Very respectful and welcoming staff from my experience especially with our group being as large as it was. Aside from the wifi not working the best on my phone, I had no complaints. Rooms: We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds. The layout was nice and I absolutely loved the bathroom. The room has the common amenities expected in a hotel room with a desk for working as well as a mini fridge. I dont think there was a microwave, but I dont think I simply didnt see it. Walkability: Theres many places within walking distance of the hotel. If you dont mind it, you can really save on Uber and parking by walking around the city. Food & drinks: Some of the spots I wanted to try, especially for breakfast werent the best walkable places to go to despite being a mile away. There was a bakery spot that some of the ladies really enjoyed but it wasnt my cup of tea. If youre just looking for a small bite and coffee youll have no issues. For lunch/dinner youll be close to spots like doozy and pepperjax being about a 6 minute walk away. If youre looking to possible save on eating out, theres a dollar general located some blocks down from the hotel.
