Im military and had to buy a house unseen because of the COVID virus. Because I wasnt able to see the house my realtor focused on new builds. This Sheridan home is beautiful in pictures but cheap cheap cheap in material. All the inside lights are outside LEDs. Walls are horrible. I should have bought a celebrity. Dont choose lane builders or Sheridan homes.

Our experience building a custom home with Sherwood was not a good one. Requests to use an egg shell paint and omit the base shoe on the trim were denied. The paint that was used was so poor quality it would rub off and show every single smudge/mark. Items blue tapped during the post closing walkthroughs were resolved by removing the tape and doing nothing else. During the build process we were not allowed to speak to the builder only to the builders real estate agent who continually tried to make selections for us and in some cases did without our approval. The kitchen cabinets are a poor attempt at painting. We are roughly six months in our house and have a retaining wall that is cracked and failing, a composite deck that is warped, exterior painting and sealing that was poor quality or not done at all. Weve come to the realization that quality is not something this builder is capable of delivering.

I neighbor a Sherwood Home under construction. Our internet line was cut by someone doing work on their property on Saturday. They said they reported it and someone was coming ASAP to fix it. Hours later nothing. (Just found out they actually didn't even report it until today) I called the realtor Saturday afternoon in hopes of getting in touch with the builder. Their reply (almost 3 hours later) was basically worthless and unacceptable. Apparently it was the electric company burying wire and "not their fault".....although on their property. I was told I could just deal with it and figure it out. No offer to help or fix the problem they created. After over 2 hours on a virtual chat (because there are no after hour numbers for customers) there is supposed to be a repair man coming today. Not a good way to help people......would hate to be your customer. Shame on you.

Buyer beware! Buyer Beware! Buyer Beware! Sherwood Homes is the worst. Dont try to have any warrantee work done with them. They will hang up on you multiple times and deny any responsibility. They blame it on other things so they dont have to fix it. I have a flooding basement but magically it isnt there fault. My egress is filling up like a fish bowl, they refuse to acknowledge that drain isnt hooked up. They refuse to acknowledge that it was installed incorrectly. They also refuse to help in anyway. I purchased a egress window cover hoping it would help, and found that it is seeping from both sides. This house is a year old and shouldnt be falling apart. Sherwood Homes doesnt stand behind their product. Trust me look elsewhere when building a home. I would give no stars if I could. You will thank yourself later. STAY AWAY FROM SHERWOOD HOMES!
