Renting a car from Avis was easy, affordable, and stress-free. All costs and requirements were easily explained and there were no hidden issues such as insurance requirements.

The rental spot is not super easy to get to, and the building is a little creepy (empty and weird) but the staff that helped us were perfectly nice.

When I picked my car up, I was informed of having to put a deposit of $250 from a credit card. I had prepaid so wasnt expecting this. Ive never had to do that in the past. My husband had dropped me off on his way to work, and had to come back to get me, as all my cards were at home. When I left with my car, I noticed that there was a very offensive fragrance coming from the vehicle. Got home to finish packing for my trip and the smell was still lingering. I then got a horrible migraine. I noticed the smell was on my shoulder, and my migraine was so terrible we left for a trip hours later than planned. When we started our trip, I noticed it was my seat belt that smelled bad. My daughter smelled hers and it smelled the same. It was like someone sprayed room freshener on all the seatbelts. It was so strong my head hurt the whole weekend. I tried covering the belt with a blanket. It helped a little bit, but not a ton. Having kids in the car, having to smell this overly sprayed vehicle was frustrating. I have rented many cars in my life and have never had this happen. Normally the cars I rent are very nice and smell like new car. Not offensive fragrance, that is so strong it triggered a migraine. I will never use this location again. Ive never had an issue with Avis, but this location is terrible. Seriously go elsewhere for your rental. Also be sure to bring your credit card for a deposit even if you prepaid.

The. Worst. After pre-paying Avis for 7 days, my truck repair was done 3 days early. 207.39 prepaid, divided by 7 days = 29.62, times the 3 days early I returned my rental = 88.86 due back to me. The second agent at the Avis customer service line sent me an email showing where Im wrong; it also has information that I had to modify online. I had called my local place he said sure, bring it back without a word that this step was necessary. Maybe its truly on me, but true service would inform me of this step. Ive been hung up on twice, transferred to a supervisor where I chose Option 1 for a callback, and now rather than leaving a voicemail like it said, I have been on hold for about 10 minutes. Most companies have figured out that customer service is of paramount importance; apparently Avis only cares about being shady, deceptive, and right. Ill wait on hold till Im done with this feedback, which I now expect to be ignored, and then Ill go post this also on Yelp. ETA: that reply below was bogus. Find somewhere else to rent.
