Ok so where do I start....first off do not stay here...this place is full of bedbugs,roaches and mice literally everywhere...there is black mold on ever surface and in the vents...the people here are nasty and disgusting and all they want to do fight everyone cause they think they are hard because they are homeless....the staff and management is just as bad and worthless as the people...it's safer and cleaner to stay on the streets then here...

As an on-call employee I get to see a lot of what's going on is really wonderful with all they do for people. Not just a mission but also the help center. Plus they provide lunches for people out in the community. And very loving place with a lot of wonderful employees and great guests.

The CONS outweigh the PROS alot of the staff are snakes. They serve raw food and outdated food to the homeless so they don't properly check donations. Most of the staff are rude and treat minorities different from the rest. The place is dirty and there are roaches in the kitchen. Remeber families with kids are eating and exposed to this environment as well. They will threaten to kick you out and are very petty when it comes to chores. They will write you up for the smallest things. The director is great she does her best but all the good workers are leaving or forced to be mindful of how they move. The pastor and his wife are very helpful. KEITH!!!!!! is a HUGE!!!!!! problem there and creates issues with people who are actually doing what they need to do. He looks for the smallest things to target you and make things an issue that don't need to be. But he prays over people not good. Remember GOD sees everything and when you mistreat people you will recieve karma for your actions KEITH!!!!. Over night staff are a real problem they are miserable and enjoy causing chaos as they are on ego/power trips. Some of the volunteers who work in the kitchen have very nasty attitudes. The workers bearly help you with any processes. This is not the best place for people who are disabled or who have mental health issues you will suffer unless you have outside services. The other residents steal from each other so make sure you don't leave anything important around if you have to stay here. They will not help you with transportation if you come off the street and have no money to help yourself. How are you supposed to build with nothing. Residents have to help out other residents because the staff won't. The whole town of Lincoln knows this place and will give you issues in certain places just because of its reputation. From the reviews it must have been worse before its still bad and needs a lot of work done. The vents in the rooms are so bad they make you sick. If you don't play the game you might get lost in the system. They pick and chose who they want to help and who they don't want to be bothered with. There is a lack of compassion and even some of the workers don't like what's happening either. They get loads of money to make living worse for the homeless. They don't help to prepare people to live on there own and become established. It's stressful and depression is at an all time high in this place. The beds are in bad condition so it's extremely difficult to get rest enough to do what you need to do. Doing laundry is the best part of this place. The church is trying to shed light over the place that is what will get you through this hard time. People talk behind your back so watch who you engage with. This review is not to make this place look bad its to bring awareness to what's actually happening. If you are independent have a job and outside supports you can survive. Just stay to yourself don't do drugs or drink don't need anything from staff and remain focused. It's at least a roof over your head. So you have to do what you need to do in order to get out. It's on you as well save your money and focus on your housing. Keep a positive mindset and magnify your achievements so you can keep a clear head. Blessings to those who suffer from homelessness and know that living on a street is not an option
