Working with Remington/Aspen to build our home was an excellent experience from start to finish. Everyone we worked with was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Rachel was an amazing contact person for all the interior/exterior selections and anything else we needed along the way! Everyone from electric, to dirt work, to plumbing, to closing/warranty meeting, to all the subcontractors we worked with were fantastic. Thank you, Remington! Wed recommend you to anyone! Cant even believe all the problems weve had and others that have had with this company. I know 5 different people that have built with Remington and none of them have a good experience. Terrible quality. Things started falling about with in days literally. And never fixed no matter how many times we called. Would NEVER recommend or will ever buy from them again. Terrible. Just terrible

If I could give them negative reviews I would. I'm absolutely and utterly just done with them. It started with poor communication, I asked questions through my realtor that they didn't take kindly to. I didn't know building or the process and they had no customer service, just rude replies. I was so frustrated at the beginning I almost left without my deposit but Bob the owner assured me he'd make the changes I was asking about before they were rude and it would all be good. Then commenced months and months of them not touching our property and house, us trying not to piss them off by asking anything and then just continually being rude. House after house that was purchased after ours was built and finished in significantly less time. I understand some were their parent company aspen and they likely have a faster time frame, but some were not, idk if they just didn't like us or kept forgetting, but either way I just kept telling myself it will be all worth it once it's done and we can be done with them. Yeah right, we get to closing and our house isn't even finished, they keep saying they'll do it the morning of closing, then we close and they send a contractor to finish the humidifier, then we find the AC was never finished and so they had to send him out twice to fix stuff, then our washer plumbing wasn't finished so they had to send someone to do that, cut a hole in our ceiling and hook up pipes, mind you I am the one who is calling and coordinating all this because their warranty team refuses to do anything, I have a newborn, a toddler, am moving and unpacking and trying to go take care of my mom who is having a hip replacement and in and out of the hospital for other reasons, I am too busy to run much of anything and now I have to coordinate the finish of my house that they didn't finish, and I am not getting paid as a project manager to finish my house, and I have a newborn during COVID that I really don't want a ton of people in and out, but here we are. A contractor threw out his dip cup onto my patio concrete and they didn't clean it quick enough so I have a large splatter stain on my back patio that can't be covered up and that they won't fix because they'd have to take it out and repour it so they told me they won't do anything for it. Then grading was done so poorly we have a large drainage ditch in our yard, that was never told to us about, the sod won't set, it's muddy and wet and attracting bugs and they won't do anything about it because they said the city says it has to be there. I bought this house specifically for the yard, and my kids can't even run around because a large portion is unusable because we got the drainage ditch. It's marshy and I absolutely don't see why I need a ditch when everywhere else it's just a slight grade down for drainage, but I have a whole concave ditch that runs from the front to back of my yard, and my yard isn't little, it's a significant portion. Absolutely trash company, would never of continued had I known what we would be moving into. I paid the money I did to have a turn key home, now I'm running a construction site out of it and not because something broke, which is understandable, but because they couldn't build a house on time and didn't finish their only job. Update: To reply them, first that wasn't the house I was talking about. Theres multiple others. For grading I've emailed them multiple times telling them we hadn't watered and we still had standing water and muddy sod. This isn't new info and not as simple as your statement In regards to our closing date, our contract was for the day we closed, we were told multiple times, I have proof, that we were on point for that date, we had to sell our house because that's the info that was told to us, we were never made aware it was supposed to be pushed back past our contract date The humidifier was finished after we closed when we were moving in. The concrete stain should've never happened. We also still have a pending item so? Also, threatening legal action if I don't delete my review, that's a new low
