Hi my name is Geraldine Wallace, and John was my first landlord,when I moved to Lincoln. I love him, he is always will be my greatest friend. I can call him for anything. He is a great man, who is honest, and will do everything in his power to help others. I am lucky, it's only for advice, for myself and when my son's, need rental advice. Hoppe took a $1,000 retainer and subsequently didnt do any work whatsoever for a case that would have been easy. Both parties were in agreement on all terms and we just needed the courts to make it official. But he did nothing but take my money. (I have the receipt still) When I asked if I was able to even get half that mony back he laughed and responded thats not how this works. Despite not providing me with any real services. I felt scammed and taken advantage of in a vulnerable moment. That was money I didnt have at the time. I am aware that some people may have had a good experience with him but my guess is those people were much more financially well off than I was. Either that or he was too embarrassed to admit he made a mistake and instead of making things right he doubled down and in a sense stole money from a young single mother. I hope that if hes reading this he knows he still has a chance to make things right with me by returning even SOME of that money. But I doubt he ever will.
