I give this place roughly a high 4 star as of right now. Ill go through my favorite things and my not so favorite things as detailed as possible to help people decide! As no apartment complex is perfect, unless youre spending the big bucks. ~~~~~~~~~ Pros: Beautiful apartment. A little old but lovely. I appreciate the giant feature wall and having a screen door so I can leave the door open when the weather is nicer. Karen (the manager) has also recently been very responsive about maintenance and completely replaced my AC unit. I quite appreciate it and shes been very nice to me for my stay. She also completely replaced my sink and toilet when there was rust. Maintenance was a little begrudging when I first moved in with the AC (see below) but all of that has been fixed so this place jumps up significantly in star rating. The hallways are almost always clean. My current roommate isnt the cleanest and yet weve never had bugs. (We are on the top floor) Karen also seems to be pretty flexible where she can be. She asked if we were moving out early and if we are she can prorate our rent by 7 days because the new tenants are interested in moving a bit earlier. (But of course shes not kicking us out early) The unit itself is VERY spacey. ~~~~~~~~~ Cons: My AC wasnt working well for most of this year. I mentioned the upstairs was significantly hotter then downstairs for the entire summer and was just recommended to get a window unit (the windows are horizontal slides so no cheap or normal window unit will fit) (but they did replace the whole unit recently and it all works great) Electricity bill in August cost me ~$165 (I have the loft 2 bedroom) probably from the broken AC Ill update with June and July electricity costs when I move out. (Update: July was $147.20) My car was broken into several times this winter and when I emailed the landlord she just told me to lock my car and never sent out a group email warning people of the possibility. I had people stopping me in the hallway to warn me. Wouldve been nice to hear it from the apartment complex. Especially since my old car doesnt lock. So if you have a car that doesnt lock either dont leave anything inside of it or maybe dont stay here. I dont have a pantry or bedroom fans in my unit. But I knew that when I was moving in. ~~~~~~~~~ Overall: For $750 (no utilities covered) For a 2 bedroom + loft. I think its worth the price now that things are getting fixed and the house isnt miserably hot. Do I think its the best? No. Do I think you could easily do worse? Absolutely. Ill update with how move out goes!
