I purchased a BluePrint engine several years ago and I've always had trouble with my 302 for a 1967 For Mustang. The engine has problems maintaining valve pressure. My automotive technician looking at these engine issues says the valves are tight and BluePrint customer service is their to talk but they won't solve the problem that they created. So I'll probably need to buy an entire different engine. Another $4k down the drain.
7 months later:
It took 7 months to diagnosis the issue with my crate 302 engine. It cost $7000 to diagnose the problem and another $4000.00 to rebuild a $3500 crate engine. My grand total bill was $11,000 (no joke) on a $2900 engine. The overall cost of the repair was not worth the engines value. Everything about the engines assembly was faulty. The entire engine needed rebuilt with all new parts.
Blue Print service offered very little support...
I do not recommend Blue Print products.

I purchased a Blueprint engine through Summit racing. The cost was less than buying a built motor here in Edmonton, even with the shipping included. The engine was shipped to Canada within a couple of weeks. After I installed and started the engine there was a vibration. Working with one of the techs by phone I performed a number of tests and we determined it was probably the flywheel I had installed. He sent me a FEDEX sticker so I could send the part from Alberta to Nebraska to have it rebalanced. This is the kind of service was excellent, especially since the flywheel was purchased from another vendor. The tech said that it was their motor and they stood behind it. The motor is now running perfectly.
