I wanted to expose my horse to various situations as part of his desensitization training. I was looking for a busy place to take him as part of this process. I have never met Mr. Wyse. Mr. Wyse informed me over the phone that I didn't know what I was doing with my horse (he does not have any information regarding me or my history or my horses history to base this statement upon) he also stated in many words that the best thing I could do for myself and my horse would be to put my horse in training with Horse Wyse Instruction. Mr. Wyse seemed bent on convincing me that I was out of my league with this horse and needed knowledgeable help. This is an interesting analysis coming form a complete stranger with no knowledge of the situation or the horse to which he speaks. I found his behavior very unprofessional and similar to a snake oil salesman. I understand that he has accomplished some things competitively in his area of interest. For this I commend him on his efforts. However, it appears that in his own mind he has become both judge and jury over the horse community in his area. Needless to say I will not be investing my time or funds with Horse Wyse Instruction.
