Bob Taylor Construction

I hired Bob to replace stairs on a second floor deck and bring the deck up to code. His bid was similar to others, he was available. I made him get a building permit. The inspectors sat down with him and told him exactly what to do. The mistakes were innumerable. A job that was very straightforward took 5 weeks instead of the stated 5 days. It took 5 or 6 inspections to get him to have it up to code. He was sloppy, left windows and doors open in subfreezing temperatures, left lights on, I never knew when he was going to show up. Made the stairs 40 inches wide instead of 48 as were called for. He Had to redo footings that were not up to code, grab rains that weren’t up to code , left with some grabrails I will have to restrain and left construction debris to be hauled away. Then he wanted to pay for his mistakes at inflated prices which I refused to do. On top of that I allowed him to use my garage to stage the project and he or one of his men stole my brand new 24 volt greenworks drill, driver, batteries and charger. For which he was unapologetic until I threatened to file a police report. The end product was satisfactory but it would not have been if the building inspectors hadn’t been there. He should not be screwing people out of money cuz of his own mistakes. I watched to many mistakes that the home owners had to pay for should not be able to work on people’s homes

I worked for bob taylor for 4 months and in that time he cut corners bought cheap materials and did things shady he screwed me and too other employees out of money and is a sham
