To begin, the check in process was a breeze. I was able to check in an hour and a half early. The front desk agent made certain that I would receive a room with a view of the mountains. Upon arriving to the room, I was pleased with the cleanliness and appeal of the room and its modern furnishing(s). Each morning during breakfast, I had the pleasure to be greeted by Ruth. She is the most friendly, thoughtful and insightful person at this hotel. She was even nice enough to buy a bottle of mustard with her own money and place it on the breakfast bar specifically for me. Theres no one more deserving of praise than her! The pool and hot tub were plenty warm enough on those cool mornings and nights. It was nice to relax in the hot tub while observing the mountains and the outdoor fire pit. The only negative aspect of the stay was housekeeping. The second day I resided for the night, I came back to the room without having been cleaned. The next day, I was very displeased with the service they provided. The beds were sloppily made, the towels that were dirty were not taken away, and only one of the trash bins were emptied. Aside from that, the hotel is in a very convenient location to the Interstate, Yellowstone and Bozeman. Each and every employee I came across was very personable and insightful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a quick rest for the night or a long term stay. Rooms: The rooms were typical size but filled with many outlets. They were also European style outlets. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were a bit thin .The bathroom was great because it provided an excess amount of room and a large walk-in shower.

This was a nice and relaxing place to stay during a recent conference. The interior lobby and rooms are modern and relaxing. Through the lobby and breakfast area there is a lovely outdoor fire table wall to sit and visit with friends and family around. There is a decent sized hot tub out there, too. The complementary breakfast was consistently good all three days we were there. There was biscuits and sausage gravy, sausage links, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, a few cereals, milk, yogurt, an oatmeal bar with ten? different toppings, coffee, assorted pastries, bagels, etc. The lady at the front desk was super helpful. When I had forgotten to reserve the room for an additional night, she added another night in the same room for the same rate. The beds were comfortable enough and the temperature in the room was pleasant. The bathrooms are very modern looking and functional. Everything was clean and relaxing. The only downside is that it is hard to get out onto the main road during heavy traffic hours. Livingston only has about 10,000 people, but its proximity to Yellowstone and other attractions makes it quite busy. The plus side is that there are a lot of cool shops and unique restaurants in town that are worth checking out during your stay. Enjoy!

My only complaint is that I was in room 104, which is right next door to the Electrical room. That means there is a constant and steady (barely stopping) hum that drove me insane I understand that I am military and got a discounted/military rate, but I dont feel that anyone, at ANY rate, should have to deal with that sound. Just as mgmt wouldnt want to deal with it Im sure. Its enough to drive you bonkers lol. Yes, I put the rooms fan/AC on to drown it out some, but did I still hear it and do I think I (or anyone) should have to do that... ehhhh Good job Fairfield, aside from that very very VERY obnoxious hum! I enjoyed the stay! Rooms: Dont get room 104

This is a newer building, but the service and the staff fall short. I am a Titanium Elite. One of Marriott's Titanium Elite benefits is complimentary room upgrade upon arrival, subject to availability. I stayed there one night, and there were multiple studio suites available. Yet the hotel management chose not to upgrade. This is the common attitude in the U.S., where hotel management staff could get greedy and fail to appreciate loyalty. Fairfield Inn at Livingston is one of those properties, and we will not stay there again. There is no point in doing business with a hotel when your loyalty is disregarded.
