Had a very pleasant experience. I have been looking forward to checking it out. I ordered The Coasty Toasty dish. I thought It came with a whole avocado, but when my dish arrived the toast was lightly "buttered" with a thin layer of avocado paste. I thought that I probably read the menu wrong. So I ate it. No big deal. During our drive home, I pulled up the menu to check the dish description and it says a whole avocado on toast. Even with the good service and pleasant atmosphere I have to give one star as my dish was lacking its focal point. What should have been the shining star of the plate was forgotten.

Edit: that wasnt me you clown Edit2: Sure Ill help you understand. Your inattentive staff, your extremely mid overpriced food, and your incredibly passive aggressive attitude earned you one star. Maybe you should take reviews as constructive criticism instead of just being like um actually youre wrong. I gain nothing off of giving you a 1 star, I dont know why youd think anybody would just lie. I had high hopes for this place, I wanted it to be good due to the fact that the only other diner we have, The Railside, sucks. But its absolutely not shocking that they outperform you on all levels. Also, this is account is 8 years old. Ive just never felt as blatantly disrespected as I did in your establishment to warrant a review.

Visited here a handful times over the 6 months they've been open. Every time my hashbrowns are almost raw looking. Prices are a little too high for laurel and such a basic menu.

The food is good. Unfortunately I've been priced out of frequenting this place. 1 week it's 13 dollars for my entire meal, the next it's 18 dollars for a burrito alone. It really sucks that local businesses don't cater to locals very well. I guess that's just how it goes these days. Absolutely insane that local businesses are not meant for locals. Since when is Laurel a tourist town? I hope the mediocre service and ridiculous prices takes this place out of business.

Jessica, we apologize. I wish you had asked us while you were with us. We just switched our avacado source and it's now mashed avacado instead of halves. For this, I am so very sorry. If you return, we will give you a free Coasty Toasty meal to try again. We will do better as we figure out the portioning that gives the best experience. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. We will do better.

This is interesting. Were you the couple who came through our EXIT door and seated yourselves and then expected our server to just know you were there? We checked the camera. We had NO idea you came in since you came through the exit. And then to treat my server like she is beneath you and to be downright rude? I hope you find another place that accepts that kind of behavior. We do not. She worked hard and you didn't even bother to leave her a tip. She checked on you and did everything you asked and then some. It's one thing when we screw up, but I have cameras. So we saw it all. You are lucky I did not walk you out.Edit: Mr. - if that was not you, then please help us to understand your extremely rude comment and your rating. Your profile is new, you have not rated anyone except us and I would love to know why you feel the way you do because I oversee everything.Edit 2: Disrespected? So you throw a lot of big words but you still did not explain what happened or why you felt that way. My staff is extremely attentive. It's a small space. And why didn't you speak up while here? Managers are always on-site. We never claim to be perfect. However a negative review with NO explanation is not constructive criticism. Nor is calling me a clown when I called you out. Want respect? Treat us as you wish to be treated. I have cameras and I can review footage and am always willing to work with our customers on improving our staff interactions. However, being aggressive and crude is not called for, nor is it adult to go online and behave like this. Now I want to help. But you gave me nothing. All you want to do is be right, have the last word and discourage good people from wanting to serve their communities. I would love to have you to come back and try again and see that your first "experience" is not what you think it was. Everyone is allowed a bad day. But maybe just maybe you can have some grace toward the hard working staff in our establishment.

First, thank you for the amazing compliment! 6 months strong and we are extremely consistent. That makes me so proud of my hard working Cooks. In regards to what your hashbrowns look like, did you try them? 🤔 You must like our cooking to keep coming. However, all you need to do is speak up to your server and inform them if you want your hashbrowns done differently. Most love them as is but that's why you can ask for something different. Sadly the economy dictates prices now but our portions are huge and you won't leave hungry or feeling cheated. Our community adores us and we love them. Being the only breakfast family friendly sit down in the whole town. Now our menu, not sure what you mean by basic. It's 4 pages. Plus our whole espresso bar menu on the tables and weekly specials. I'm unsure why you say basic. Everything is inhouse made. No canned products, no frozen food. Everything is prepped and made in house. I welcome you to return, ask our server to customize your hashbrowns and see for yourself that our family ran restaurant is better then a 2 star review and much needed here. We need to support small businesses or less people will take a chance in starting up something like our place. My whole life has gone into our establishment. I love this town of ours that much.

Bob, I am sorry you feel that way. I am unsure about what you paid, but our menu is very clear and concise. We cannot lose money just to make things cheap. That is what fast food joints are for. We, however, do not use prepackaged food, frozen or otherwise. Everything is fresh and in house made. Our place is not for everyone. Its unfortunate you feel the way you do, but you get a huge portion and never leave hungry here. Most of our menu equal 2 servings in 1. Now, we did change our menu in February and prices did adjust for rising costs. And if you add to your burrito, it will add to your cost but I am certain you knew that one of course.Again, I understand if you cannot afford our amazing and large portions. Please, bless the other fast food joints here and I'm sure they will appreciate you.
