With sandblasting, if your directions are maybe complicated, ask if who you are telling them to is the person doing the work for better understanding. That guy did a good job on what he was told. Luckily he called me for clarification or I would have ended up with a good job but WAY MORE cost than I could afford compared to other jobs at other companys Ive used in the past. The reason in my opinion is that they reuse the blasting media. Having at least SOME experience in this I know even after reusing it ONCE, it cant work as well as new. How about 3-4 or who knows? Thats fine doing your own stuff, but how much of this is OK at $125@ hr? and you not knowing? Blowing a fair % of just dust around dont do much, but sure will drive up the bill! The owner told me the cost is the same for FRESH or USED, but I wasnt told I had a choice for something I assumed wasnt an issue. DONT assume as I made the mistake of doing, cause she sure dont care! My job if I didnt stop early, would have been maybe 3-4 times what Ive paid for work in the past, compleated as I wanted. ( BUT... I will say... MAYBE a good job from what was done)
