This isnt easy for me to share my personal experiences publicly, however. My hopes in sharing this are that I can be the courage for somebody out there who may not have a voice or simply just doesnt know the level of mistreatment they may endure. I am sad to say, I have had a couple unfortunate experiences with 406Dentistry. I initially made an appointment due to pain on my lower gums. I had been placed in a booth i was left for about 45 minutes before being greeted and as staff crowded a window to watch and gossip about a traffic stop outside. Throughout my appointment I heard conversations loudly talked between the staff about how tired they were, ready for the day to be over, lunch, headaches a busy day. At one point one girl yelled to another Im gonna kill you! The lack of professionalism was cornering. I wasnt told theyd be with me shortly, okay Im gonna lean you back now. They just chatted amongst each other like I wasnt there and they were practicing on a dummy. During X-rays, the hygienist made multiple unsanitary moves such as touching her glove to her nose then immediately going for my mouth. I mentioned she didnt have the mouth piece positioned right as I could taste blood and told her she was hurting me pretty severely. She responded that its going to hurt and will be over soon. I tried to brush this appointment off as maybe the hygienist was in training and maybe just a weird day for the staff. A few days later I came back in with excruciating pain in my same lower gums that had started migrating and radiating throughout my entire jaw. The Dr. examines my mouth and ends the appointment rather quickly by letting me know my gums were inflamed and prescribed me magic mouthwash to numb the area and antibiotics. I am thankful for the bandaids however after I had traveled down to Missoula today for a second opinion- I am made aware of severe bone loss in the front parts of my jaw and nearly exposed nerves. I am now awaiting an appointment with an oral surgeon to remove those two front teeth and possibly the two on either side being a total of 4 teeth, and to clean deep down into my gums into and attempt a bone graft. I realize this was a long time coming with an issue like this, but the lack of care in this establishment was disgraceful. Im thankful for the people I had by my side to tell me that this was not proper behavior by the medical staff. 406Dentistry, I just would like to say please do better. Please listen to your patients. This was not a discussion we had had just once or even twice and etiquette was all the same every encounter with you guys. I feel I was treated very poorly by 406 and your staff. I hope you will be more careful the way you speak to and treat your patients and people can receive the help they need. I will not be returning. Thank you for your time. Amanda
