Shilo Inn & Suites Helena - Airport

Good and bad. Shilo Inn has always had a reputation for being clean, staying current with technology, comfortable beds and value for the money. The good. Easy to access and close to stores. New'ish" TV with satellite and wifi. Sheets are decent and staff seems nice. The bad. The sheets are hiding awful mattresses. It feels like you will fall out if on the side or sink if you're in the middle. The flooring may be new, but it's about the cheapest vinyl you can get. It already has cracks in the seams. The bathrooms are small and dated. Light bulbs are missing. The pool is a glorified storage room and the carpet in the halls, it must be from the 90s. The furniture is beyond worn and the appliances are awful. If you want cheap your better off going to a cheap motel than paying for a moderately priced hotel that leans on its name but doesn't deliver. The Howard Joh son is about the same price and has a functional pool, hot tub and free breakfast. The key cards are a joke to enter doors. It takes a minimum of 5 tries and nearly 2 minutes just to get in the room or doors. If this is what Shili inn has become, they would be better off charging by the hour. It's obvious by the stockpile of old furniture stacked outside and in the halls storage they are attempting an update, but that is the best word I can use. I hate to say it, but Shilo, you'd be better off gutting this heap, or better yet, tear it down and start new! So sad and disappointed. I used to love shilo inns. This place is in my top 10 to never stay at again. Rooms: Awful!

This hotel is DISGUSTING. animal hair everywhere the pillows HAD BLOODY NEEDLE MARKS!! the front desk argued with me about the room. It was disgusting. The drawers are all nasty the floors are extremely dirty there was trash and food under our bed and the manager was extremely rude when I told them we wanted a refund. There is nasty trash and animal fedes everywhere dog urine crackhead everywhere. I do not recommend this hotel.

This is an excellent cozy little hotel that makes you feel at home! The staff is very kind and helpful and the owner is amazing and very helpful as well! Nice clean rooms and great price! Rooms: The rooms are clean and comfy!

Booked through Hotel Tonight. Got to Shilo Inn, and first thing the owner/desk clerk was cordial (only good/nice thing at this place), wen told I had service dogs I was quickly ask what service they provided (which is illegal I believe), was inform there were three of them (owner/desk clerk didn't hear or what, don't know don't care), when bringing dogs in owner/desk clerk was outside and informed us there was a two dog limit and that all hotel/Inn's only allow two (I thought there was a no limit on service dogs, but, I think the owner/deskclerk treated them as just pets anyway), room had musty smell, was noisy, and room was small. It reminded me of an old Motel 6 (that had been renamed), no functioning pool, no complementary breakfast (not even coffee), if unfamiliar with Helena it's difficult to access. Went to Baymont Inn just one block up (with no restrictions on service dogs, and no questions asked about the service they provided and no fee for them). I can go on and on why not to stay at Shilo Inn, but my review would be way too long. JUST DON'T STAY AT THIS PLACE!
