Small town Safeways are always great in my experience, the employees are pleasant and helpful and the store is always clean and in order.

Got steaks here went to cook them the next day could smell an odor looked underneath and to my surprise saw brown and what looked like mold? Maggot eggs? Who knows. Went to return them. Was told I was getting a good deal because the steaks they were exchanging them for looked better then the last ones and were bigger and they didn't charge me for that ? I picked the small ones for a reason . The smell alone! I wasn't going to argue over $16. Check check check your meat!!

Safeway in California or Western Montana is great.

Safeway is pretty consistent. Most things are always in stock. The produce is usually fresh. Very-very small deli at this location+ no bakery or meat department; but they carry a nice selection of baked goods and meats. The cashiers are friendly. You can self-checkout if you want. Watch your receipt here... b/c the price things ring-up can be more than it's marked. Every other trip, it seams, there is something that rings up in their favor.

Had everything I needed. Nice display. Well organized. Decent parking.
If you don't join their "club" you pay alot more.
