Was there late, and raining bad, I was about to leave and lady in front desk walked outside and asked if I need a room, she treated us really nice, rooms where also clean and comfortable, I give this 5 stars

It was a nice older hotel. Passing through on our way to Washington state. Delivering new rv campers. We would like to come back and visit the prison museum. Would definitely stay here again.

I don't like to force my perspective or opinion on others, I like to state the facts and let them form their own opinions. So here's the facts about this hotel: 1- the dog area outside is the gravel alley behind the hotel. 2- there was a glade plug in airfreshener in our room. 3- the smoke detector in our room didn't work. 4- my husband booked the stay online through their website the day prior to our trip. He hadn't received a confirmation email yet the day of our expected arrival so he called the hotel to ask if the reservation was made or if there was an issue with the reservation. They told him there was no reservation for us in their system, so he made another reservation. 5- after we returned home from our trip my husband checked our bank account and we were charged twice for our stay. He contacted the manager and she stated they would need a fax from the bank with proof of the double charge. He made a trip to the bank and had the fax sent. He called the manager back and she stated they didn't receive it. She asked him to email it to her. He sent the email, called her, she said that she still didn't receive it. She then requested he send another fax to their sister hotel. He made another trip to the bank and had another fax sent. He called her again to be told she was too busy to figure it out and would contact him later. After a week he still hadn't heard back, so he called her again to be told they didn't charge us twice and refused to refund the second charge. Jumped through a lot of hoops, took a ton of our time and no results, paid for our stay twice. Let me ask you, is it worth the stay?
