        We have been shopping there for the last 12 years. But last year we bought a whole hog, pricing jumped $200 when we went to pick it up, service at counter very rude( not the same women we knew), meat was fatty, all of bacon was 1 in wide 3 inches long, links straight from freezer along with ground pork. We will never recommend them or buy from them again. The reason for the lone star was for the nice guy we have seen for years there and helped us out with the meat.

      I am sorry to hear about your recent purchase. First, based on the .20/lb increase we implemented this past year, the total increase for a whole hog would have been less than $50 and it looks like we didn't even pass on the increase to you because it was ordered before the increase. Second, the hog you purchased is what you got and the LOCAL Montana hogs are excellent quality which we have and always will stand behind. They are cut and wrapped to your specifications. Bacon when sliced will result in some ends and pieces which are packaged and included since you did pay for the whole hog. If you want to contact us, we would be happy to address your dis-satisfaction and work something out. Would love to continue to serve you in the future.
