Oboz Footwear

Just ordered my third pair of Oboz. Hiking boots and hiking shoes have withstood several hundred miles of walking with minimal wear. Very durable. Most important factor is comfort.!

I needed to get a more technical pair of hiking boots as I routinely am hiking 10 mile back country hikes in the Sawtooth and Boulder mountains of Idaho. Lots of rock scrambles & scree and it was time to get serious before I twisted an ankle. I had been looking at various reviews for months knowing that the investment would be a couple hundred dollars. I ended up with a pair of Oboz women's sawtooth Mid B-Dry hiking boots. I sized up to a size 9 but the fit is perfect! I wore them out of the box on a five mile hike up 1500 vertical feet on varied terrain and am in love! On Friday, I will wear them on a 10 miler and many water crossings. I have high hopes. The heel strike is heaven and they feel like home!

Ordered online as a recommendation and happy I listened!!   So pleased with my new hiking shoes and can't wait to hit the trails!

The first pair of Oboz I had were awesome. I literally wore them out. I purchased a replacement pair and the quality is horrible. The sole of the left shoe started to delaminate in the rear. Then it started to happen on the right shoe. I contacted Oboz customer support about their "one-year" warranty as I had only had the shoes for a month and they had me take a bunch of photos, and even mark the tags with an "X". Then they disappeared. As I bought them through Amazon I went that direction and again had to take a bunch of photos, then I was told the warranty claim was rejected. They said I had caused the issue by removing the shoes from my feet by stepping on the heel. Well, I've never done that in my life so there's that. I feel the product is faulty and they are hiding behind an excuse. And so much for their customer support. I'm afraid they have gone the direction of a lot of other quality gear companies I've known. Great quality at the start, then they off load production and quality slips.

Third pair of boots I've bought of this brand and every single pair has come apart at the seems after a couple months. I will definitely be contacting this company for a refund this time. It also the last time I buy this brand of boots as they are obviously not built well.
