        I'm beyond disappointed in FIB. It's impossible to talk to anyone who is capable of making a rational decision when you have a unique situation when trying to make a mobile deposit. I've worked in banking and management for over 20 years and have never seen such unwillingness to help or poor policies. We've been customers for decades, but not for much longer after this.

        Do not ever cash a check with this bank. This is the 2nd time I have made this mistake. Both times it took way too long to cash them, and I am looking at not having access to funds from a check we deposited THIS MORNING. Another time I did a mobile deposit and it took days! I will never cash a check here, and honestly if it wasn't the only local bank, I wouldn't bank with them anymore. Seriously, it is almost 4 pm, and we deposited this check at 1030 am!!! Unacceptable!

        My wife set me up with a checking account through First Interstate, we had also gotten a loan through them previously before. We recently wanted to get a consolidation loan which we are both more than financially capable of handling. My wife wanted to go through First Interstate again, which I didn't but I was willing to give it a chance. They "pulled" my credit which was a score I had 6 months prior to what TransUnion, MyFICO and Annual Credit Report was showing I had now. My wife who has flawless payment and great credit history. Needlessly to say we were denied which doesn't make a whole lot of sense and neither what was explained to me. Now I have a hard inquiry on my report thanks to them. Either way, this is why I support military banks and bigger banks. They will always help you even if it's the lesser of two evils. I would like to support local banks but they're incredibly stingy on who they will even attempt to help. Definitely looking at other options for my personal accounts and probably won't do business with them in the future.
