        While I have no doubt that Dr Whitaker knows her position, I left and found another PCP because I felt like I was getting " Churned and Burned" . In other words, she just came in typed notes on the computer and left. I need a " preferred care partner" not a " preferred care preacher".

        She rarely made eye contact and was not very good at following through on instructions. She would make changes to meeications but not authorize them with pharmacy. When I said we had a communication problem, she refused to see me any more. This left me scrambling for a new primary before my hip replacement surgery

      Sarah Whittaker, MD, is board certified in family medicine. She attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, and completed her family medicine residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo.Before joining SSM Health Medical Group, Dr. Whittaker practiced family medicine at Northtowns Medical Group, PC, in Buffalo, New York, where she assessed and treated both acute and chronic conditions. She has also worked in an urgent care setting.Her medical interests include women’s health, mental health, and diabetes. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and cares for patients ages 12 and up.During college, she swam competitively. She currently enjoys running and traveling.
