Our apartment is super nice. They just remodeled so it's all updated. We have a huge kitchen bar and a large kitchen, 2 large bedrooms, a large balcony, and decent sized bathrooms. For the price its definitely worth it. I do wish I could have my pet cat but they don't allow pets

Two years ago, I cosigned a lease for a unit. My initial tour of the "newly renovated" apartment left me scratching my head. Paint was peeling on the interior of the front and back doors, balusters were loose and many still had the barcode stickers on them. Cabinets, to me were unfinished and unlevel, doors uneven and loose. Toilet paper holders and door jambs were not plumb. The tops of the trim was unpainted. The A/C didn't work correctly, and the breaker had to be rewired. The garbage disposal didn't work right. The water heater kept tripping the breaker(found out from a neighbor that they were on their third one). We eventually went through three as well, but when you decide to go with off brands you get what you pay for. And with the very hard water in that part of town, the hot water never lasted more than 5 to 10 minutes. I know that Warren County has always been footloose and fancy-free on building codes, but the dryer was not wired for current models. And several of the outlets were not grounded properly(I have been an electrician for 50 plus years). The outside dryer vent was merely a hole in the wall with no cover or louver installed. The neighbors often had a revolving cast of undocumented 'tenants' and were often extremely noisy late into the evening. There is still a hole in the outside wall of the unit directly behind from a 'boyfriend' of that tenants daughter discharging a gun, without consideration of what may have been downrange. Lots of suspicious vehicles coming and going(or just abandoned) and what looked, even to the untrained eye, like drug deals taking place. The maintenance crew often left dumpsters in the MOST inconvenient spots to be able to park. And this process is never-ending. Management is surly, and were capricious in what and when they decided to change rates, and don't even think of contacting them on a weekend.

The worst of the worst. If I could leave a zero I would. These people are scammers who do everything they can to illegally keep your money, while creating an unsafe and threatening atmosphere. They accuse tenants of damaging things, when everything is constructed so poorly that it starts falling apart as soon as you move in. They took weeks to inform me they are keeping my deposit, because I supposedly broke my lease by leaving early, when Jenna AGREED, and even suggested I leave early, and I did give notice, via texting, which she told me was sufficient. The unit I was in was not finished, had unpainted and poorly painted surfaces, paint that would peel off, cabinetry that was not level and had no knobs, with shelving clips breaking and falling out, closet shelving and bathroom bars and racks that were not anchored properly, gaps under the flooring, wasn't wired correctly, and had to have the water heater replaced THREE TIMES in the first two months. I had to stop using the dishwasher, because it kept blowing out the water heater. And the maintenance guy kept accusing me of turning the heater up (I didn't, but even if I had, that would have been normal to do, IF the place had been wired correctly). Whoever built the walls and doors has never used a tape measure, level, or studfinder. They refuse to replace street lights, allow drug activity, and encourage criminals. They make up bogus rules on the fly, and leave threatening notes on individual doors, but not everyone's. They try to change lease terms, and refuse to do what they are legally obligated to provide. The professional management company that was there when I moved in left, because they refused to do the illegal things the owners kept insisting on doing. The new manager claimed to not work weekends, and ultimately refused to do her job. This was the worst place I have ever lived, and these people are absolutely corrupt. The only people living there that are happy with it are the criminals that just want to hide and continue to do their drug deals and shoot the place up with no consequences or notice from the staff. Anyone with even a shred of honesty or conscience leaves, completely regretting ever having moved there. If you're considering moving to this nightmare, don't. It isn't worth it. Anything else, anywhere else is better, safer, better maintained, and more civil than this dump. But sure, if you want to deal drugs, assault your family, and shoot holes in the buildings, endangering everyone else in the vicinity, and be constantly harassed AND ignored by rude staff, then this is the place for you. This is the truth. I did not break my lease. I did not raise the temp on the water heaters (several of them), and as any electrician will know, even if I had, they have an adjustment built in. I did nothing wrong there. That landlord did everything I said they did, and I do still have both leases AND all of the texts, plus all of my Ring camera footage showing the gunman. Making light of that, like once incidence is ok is ridiculous, and shows the level of corruption that these people stoop to.

As I already responded to your previous review:When a tenant breaks their lease, they are required to pay an early termination fee equal to 2 months rent. However, as a kindness, you were only being charged 1 month- which is why you will not receive your security deposit back. When a tenant says they are leaving, the property management company and the owners can not force them to stay, that is why we said ok when you gave your notice. Tenants are responsible for reading the lease that they sign. The townhome was in great condition when you moved in, everyone that has moved into one of our remodeled units has nothing but good things to say about them. The cabinetry is not supposed to have knobs/handles, they are designed without them. Since you decided to drill holes in all of them, that violates your lease agreement as well. And yes, turning the heat up on the water can cause things to break, your denial in doing so does not matter since it was easy to tell you did. The street light will be fixed, the part has been on backorder. We obviously do not condone illegal/drug activity, I'm not sure what else to say about that. The ONE thing that happened in the past was handled immediately and those tenants were out within 10 days of the incident. The previous property management company did not quit for the reason you made up, their contract was up- plain and simple. I have addressed all of the lies that I can, without humoring the ones that are so blatantly obvious.
