Notice how old the reviews are for this facility. In the six years we have been visiting a friend, the quality of care, especially the food quality have bottomed out.

Cape Albeon staff were extremely helpful. Moving is rough, but the staff made it much easier. My parents are happy too!

If you visited Google to read a review about Cape Albeon then please read this one to the end. Cape Albeon actually speaks for itself. However, I would like to share our experience. My mother lived in the area that they call The Village which is the assisted living part of this wonderful community. No one likes to see their loved one leave their home that they have lived in for over half a century but sometimes in life it becomes necessary. I was worried because it is like picking a doctor out of the phone book so I started talking to nurses, therapists and social workers. Any time they were familiar with Cape Albeon their positive opinion always came with a smile. One Physical Therapist I know personally said that Cape Albeon is unbelievable and she would put her mother there if the day came that it was necessary. I visited Cape Albeon to get a feel of the facility; better yet let's call it a home. I realize that when you visit places such as this that everyone puts on their best face. It seemed nice, the studio apartment was precious and the people very welcoming. We moved Mom in and of course it is normal that at the beginning she missed living at her own home. She physically needed some help and couldn't be left to live alone. To my surprise she adjusted quickly and started calling Cape Albeon HOME. Remember, I said that when visiting places like this that everyone always puts on their best face? Well, at Cape Albeon those faces are real. The people are real and caring. The nurses, administrators, CNA and Med Techs are phenomenal and they did not take very long to become family. The residents do not just eat and sleep, they get involved. My mother loved talking to Sweetie Baby, the resident bird, who she could always get to talk back to her. She named the fish in the big beautiful tank that she passed on the way to her meals. She learned to paint and she got to play Jackpot Bingo of which I received regular excited phone calls telling me about her winnings. She took scenic drives most weeks and I would hear about all of the beautiful places she saw from the window of her bus and how there were areas she lived near most of her life but didn't even know they existed. Mom loved sitting in the sunny garden and looking at the beautiful flowers and the cardinals that visited. When raining, she could still see the beauty from her window. I know that this is a lengthy review and for those of you that made it this far thank you. I could keep writing and writing but I do want you to know. I feel like Cape Albeon and their staff added years to my Moms life. I thank them and I can only pray if in the future I need some place like my Mom did that Cape Albeon will be there for me. Like I said, Cape Albeon speaks for itself. With Love and Thanks, Daughter Diana Diana

I have lived at the Cape for almost 5 years and find that the ambience of this location is wonderful. I can sit on my patio and watch wildlife around our lakes. Plenty of walking paths and with the size of the building I am able to know everyone that lives here. When we hopefully get back to normal after COVID, the activities here are so varied that anyone can find something of interest. Staff is always willing to stop, talk, and listen to you.
