Why we chose John Marion Custom Homes, LLC as our new home builder. 1) He has an actual work office, not his home. 2) He has an on-line computer software program where we could monitor progress of our home, make selections, see the project come to fruition and monitor our budget. 3) He has very friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable staff. 4) Cost played a very important role in our planning and budget of our new home. We had a set budget and tried to stay within those parameters. 5) He has great recommendations for vendors of which we chose our products from (i.e. carpet, flooring, granite countertops, cabinetry and paint). From the time we first met John, his office staff and the rest of the crew, it was apparent that we all had the common goal of getting our house built and were immediately impressed. While we don't recommend building during a pandemic, they really stayed the course and made sure things got done to the best of their abilities. They were never intimidated by all of our questions and concerns. John was reachable 24/7. If we had an immediate issue, we could text him, his office staff or the project manager. If we had thoughts or questions that didn't require immediate action, we could hop on to the website and send an email note and wait for them to get back with us. We were able to get updates, progress status and pictures via the website too. We could even upload our own pictures we took. We were able to go to the jobsite whenever we wanted to. There was never any dumb questions or concerns. We have never built a new home, let alone a custom home. From the time our plans were drawn up and presented to John, he was able to put those plans into an actual building that we absolutely love. Not only did John have great vendors to work with for our supplies and designs, he also has his own crew that comes in and works alongside the vendors to help get the projects done. On a few different occasions, we set up meetings to meet with John and anyone else that was part of our concern with the projects that were being worked on. He is extremely accommodating and will reach out if something doesn't go as planned to get our feedback on our ideas and come up with a solution. We are extremely glad that we chose John Marion Custom Homes, LLC to build our forever home. He offers service after the closing, if needbe. If we have questions or concerns, our computer file is still open and active and we can address those either via text, phone call or email. If it's an issue with a vendor, John gives us the option to make contact or he will make contact with them on our behalf. This is what we truly call service after the sale. One of the best things is when you work as long as we did with these people, you develop a friendship and those people have become our personal friends. Working with John directly was wonderful. He took tense situations (to us) and showed us different ways to look at it and come to a solution. He never got angry or upset with us or worried from what we could see anytime throughout our build. He remained professional at all times. We can't say enough about good about the crew he has working for him. If you are looking at building a new home, and are either new to home building or a veteran home builder, whether it be a spec home or custom home, we highly recommend John Marion Custom Homes, LLC to be your builder.
