    You should not even consider living at village club. Ive been here for close to a year now with problem after problem. A few weeks into being here I was noticing what looked like bed bugs bites that i immediately called about getting someone to come here and look for them. After a week or so without anyone coming to check I called again to get any updates. The guy said the exact same thing and this went on for over a month before somebody finally came and saw the bugs in the apartments next to mine. They didnt find any in my room and because of that they didnt even do a treatment (when I was the only one complaining about getting bites night after night) I have appliances in my room specifically that were made in the 80s so my fridge leaks every couple of weeks and any time I use my oven it smokes up and sets off the fire alarms. Ive called about that and all they said is that they would put in a replacement order. This was about a month or so ago with nothing being done about it yet. Im currently sitting in my apartment while my ac isnt working and have been trying to call the last couple of days to just talk to someone about it but I keep getting sent to the answering machine. Their office hours are posted as 9am-6pm and yesterday after calling and not getting through to anyone I walked over to the office at 4:30 to a locked door and a closed sign up front. So because of the unreliability they have here I had to sleep in my 85 degree sauna of an apartment in the middle of the summer. Its a very old and run down building and it just seems like the property manager and maintenance dont care enough to do anything to fix these problems.

    Communication with building manager and property manager is terrible. Nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone. Very hard to end lease early and buy out of contract. Would not recommend.

    Just wanted to point out, that the inside stairs have one little board in the middle, that's broke. It's been broke for well over 6 or 7 months now. Instead of fixing it right away. They just board off the ends and say it's a hazard, and expect us to walk all the way around to the other side of the building. Lmao like the maintenance man spent more time putting the two, TWO boards up, rather than fix the one, ONE board. I would be very weary if u were wanting to rent from here. They switch office managers every 3 months, so if u have a deal with the old one, guess what, they're not gonna accommodate you, remember, everyone just likes a little honesty. And promptness!

    Dont be fooled by the high star review. They give you a discount for posting 5 stars. My girlfriend has lived here for 3 years and has never been late with a payment. She has 3 active leaks in her apartment that she has promptly reported to management. One leak is 4 months old and is causing serious mold issues within the premises. Every problem that is reported, while promptly being checked, is never fixed. We have had broken storm drains that every resident has complained about that still took a little over a year to fix. I wish I could just warn everyone how poorly managed and poorly maintained this property is without giving any stars, but here we are.

    I cannot recommend this property to anyone. Maintenance is a hassle and a joke. Multiple problems with appliances in the unit that take forever to be properly addressed if at all. Today, a new dishwasher was installed in my apartment which I have been waiting 3 months for. While the property manager had informed me it could be delivered today, I never received a call confirming its delivery or notice that maintenance was entering my apartment without my presence. I came home to find the new dishwasher installed with water leaking on the floor and the old dishwasher sitting in my kitchen. Furniture they moved had not been put back and my dog had been left shut in my room. First, I left my bedroom door shut to keep my dog out of my room because he chews up dirty laundry and is not allowed in there when Im not home but the maintenance man/men took it upon themselves, without permission, to open my bedroom door and leave my dog in there even after they left. I dont know how long he was in there but when I came home and found him he had chewed up some dirty socks and gotten into chocolate, which he would not have have had access to had maintenance not put him in there. This is absolutely unacceptable and negligent. Not only was it unprofessional and inconsiderate but my dog could have eaten more of what he wasnt supposed to and been harmed and was left without access to his water. I called the emergency maintenance number right away and spoke to a woman at The Wooten Company who took my statement and and said a manager would call me back which I have not received yet tonight. I will be stopping by The Wooten Co office tomorrow to discuss this with the maintenance manager.
