I had a very negative experience with this business. Only 18 months after installing Rosetta Stone steps, the granular base washed out from underneath the steps, causing the steps to fail and depositing the granular base at the bottom of the hill. After countless unsuccessful efforts to reach the contractor both by phone as well as by e-mail, contact was finally made. The contractor inspected the situation, and responded in writing that he would re-set the steps. He then went silent again, and never performed the work which he had committed to do. In response to a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, the contractor denied responsibility, citing the fact that the work had been performed more than one year ago. All this despite the statement on the contractor's website, which at this writing is no longer posted on the web, that the contractor's work is "guaranteed to look amazing and hold against time." I would not recommend this business to anyone.

We used Cloud Retaining Walls and Hardscapes for our backyard patio and retaining wall project. It was a pretty ambitious project with some regrading of the yard to resolve a drainage issue in addition to the hardscapes. It also included integrating an existing deck staircase into the plan, in addition to preserving a number of trees. Jeff (the owner) was excellent to work with. He came by for a free estimate and discussion about our goals. He worked up a plan and estimate and was very receptive to our feedback. We did tweak things along the way (something I think every customer should expect). The results are beyond our expectations. Our back yard has been transformed from a drainage challenge and a useless hill into a true paradise. Jeff was timely, a great communicator, and has handled follow up adjustments with integrity and a customer service attitude that reflects the pro he is (these adjustments are inevitable on a hardscape in my opinion). Highly recommended.
