The strangest thing. Ive been going to Family Dental since I was a kid back in 1977 and as a young adult. I moved away and returned to the area in the early 2000s. I was so happy to come back to Family Dental. I remember hearing of Dr. Crabtree as a kid and was happy to have him as my new dentist. During a routine checkup I found I had a questionable tooth - honestly I cant even remember the specifics. But what I DO remember was sitting in the dentists chair as Dr. Crabtree was starting to explain the situation to me. I was just sitting there listening to him, when all of a sudden he stopped mid-sentence, got up and walked out really fast. I figured he had some kind of prop or picture he was going to grab and then come back to finish what he was going to say showing me some kind of example. But he never came back! He just got up mid-sentence and walked out quickly and never came back. When the dental hygienist finally came in and told me I was all done, I was shocked! Where did Dr. Crabtree go? Why did he walk out mid-sentence like that? Just leaving me sitting there! Did he not like the way I was looking at him and he just got mad and stormed out?? I dont think I was giving any kind of mean stare or bad vibes. Why did he do that? Then I was led out by the hygienist bewildered and confused. I was so disturbed by it that I never returned. And it still bothers me to this day! I loved going to Family Dental! I loved my original dentist, Dr Reed. Then as a young adult I really liked Dr. Doherty, and when I came back to see Dr. Crabtree I was really happy. Then he pulled that weird stunt, ruining a life-long relationship with me and Family Dental. It was so Seinfeld to me. Anyway, it was very odd!

I am one of those patients who needs extensive work done for various issues. About a year ago, I had a root canal performed on a very infected molar. It was so infected that even after antibiotics the pain persisted and I had to be numbed several times.Shortly after root canal was over , I still had the same pains but I was told to give it a few weeks and that I would no longer have to feel anything. Well it's been almost a year and the pain only got worse but now my face has begun to swell. My old dentist's office wasn't open and he usually never returns my emergency calls so I spent most of the night trying to track down a dentist that took emergency patients. That is how I found this wonderful place!! Their hours are amazing! The only office that was open at 6am on a Friday. I spoke to a very sweet lady in the phone and she was totally compassionate and was able to squeeze me in for 9am. I didn't have to wait long at all, and my nurse and new dentist were awesome. You can tell they are people whom actually give a damn about quality service. Turns out i have an abscess underneath the root canal so Dr. Crabtree prescribed me antibiotics and referred me to an endodontist. Already feeling so much better. I walked in there in tears and was treated with nothing but kindness.
