I have had 2 great therapists at Sandhill and 1 that didnt work out for me. I just looked through their directory and did a little research. I emailed the therapists and they replied. Its been a healthy experience.

According to my wife, therapist Ken Barrett told her I ( Barb's husband of 43 years) is the root of all her raging , hateful demeanor , depression that he told her to leave me. Now this is what she said. She left. Do I have any recourse on finding this out. My wife has suffered from clinical depression even as an Adolescent ,but I am her problem. Please reply. I have tried to talk to someone there , but they refused me. I was just trying to get a true and open understanding if that is what she was told. If I don't care deeply about my wife , I wouldn't of gave it any effort. Well ?

I would give 0 stars if I could. Money hungry - even when signing up at my lowest point all they talked about was money.then when I met w the therapist I was assigned to (who works with school children , I am 24)!! she was useless. I felt entirely judged. Hardly have any feedback, Her examples were relating to younger kids and the whole time shes looking at the clock for the time to be up. Then at the end would ask if I think I need another session, there seemed to be a lack of compassion or trying to connect to understandhas not responded to my emails.its always about money.(and I never missed a payment) very unethical and unprofessional all around and bad at their job. The only good thing about this place is the secretary, shes nice and welcoming - more than the therapist was. Honestly worst experience - go anywhere else!!

If I could give them 0/5 stars I would. I made weekly appointments with Andrea under the impression that my copay was $25, I will take partial blame, I should have done more research and looked into my copay myself. Each session, three weeks in a row, I was billed $25 and sent on my way. My fourth session I was greeted and brought in for therapy only to be told that my copay is actually $75 and that not only do I owe her $75 for that day, but I owe her $75 for ALL of the other sessions in the past, totaling $125-150. Also, if I can't pay $75 for that day's session I would be charged the late cancellation fee of $120. I don't know about you, but as a young professional I have to budget EVERYTHING and that kind of money doesn't usually fit in the budget. I had to stay for my session and pay the $75. Fast forward to almost a week ago 07/27/2022, I missed my appointment (my fault and I paid for it), when Andrea and I spoke she said we needed to set something up for me to get my balance paid off and I said that I would, but that money was really tight at the moment. Fast forward to today, 08/02/2022, Sandhill has my ENTIRE REMAINING BALANCE, $125 pending on my credit card. Thank goodness it's not on my debit card!! To sum this all up, there is a lack of ethics, professionalism, and empathy within this counseling service. Somewhere that is more worried about your money than your mental well being is not somewhere I would recommend to anyone.

Called to schedule with the intake team in Jan 2022 and they set me up with someone in Feb. A couple days before and i contacted the counselor since I hadn't heard from her and she said I was never added to her calendar. I just happened to be off work the next day so I scheduled. I meet with her and we start but then I say I can only do evenings and she says she doesn't have that time available. She recommends me to someone else. I email this other counselor and she was very rude and had no idea who I was or why I was messaging her because she also had no availability. She sends me to someone else. I go to this person for an appointment, now in March and she says she doesn't do evening appointments either. I was so frustrated!!!! I finally found someone to meet with but she mostly did children's therapy. I did most of the talking and she gave me little to nothing in return. I started reading books on my own and realizing what I had and why I felt and acted the way I did all on my own. I stopped going to her by June. Now it's Feb 2023 and I'm looking to start up again with someone else and decided to email counselors individually instead of getting bounced around but 5 people said no. I called the intake line and left a message. They called me back and said absolutely no one had appointments after 5. Thank goodness I'm not suicidal or depressed because this would have sent me over the edge. Don't waste your time if your schedule isn't as free as a bird!
