Wonderful custyomer service ater the fact. As for the service: quick, efficient friendly and they cleaned up every stick and branch from a down tree leaning on the house. Thank you so much Davey -- I will be looking to you for future work.

Davey Tree exceeded my expectations! Their arborist recommended deep root fertilization for my trees, along with a treatment for my beautiful Elm tree. I'm eagerly anticipating this service, knowing it will benefit my trees immensely. Additionally, the tree pruning performed by their crew was impeccable. Their attention to detail was apparent, leaving my property looking pristine. I highly recommend Davey Tree for their outstanding tree care services!

Tree Trimming Season -
Would like to share my experience with Davey Tree.
Trying to be a responsible homeowner, I looked into getting my 2 ash and 1 maple trees pruned last fall. I called a few companies and heard a bunch of conflicting stories re: Emerald Ash borer disease. Thus, I thought I would reach out to Davey Tree. Thought, they've been in business for a long time, let's see what their arborists have to say.
Although Davey quoted me the highest price, the sales person seemed knowledgable. As their price was high, I inquired about the amount of work involved. Ted (sales person) told me it would take 2 people 4-4.5 hours or 3 people 2.5 hours. I didn't know what to expect time-wise, so the quoted price seemed less awful and I felt I would be receiving a proper pruning job for my three trees. To save a little bit of $, I opted to have the trees trimmed in the winter, which their website recommends.
Tree Pruning Day - Two men showed up and were in and out within 2 hours! Wow, that didn't take anywhere near 4 - 4.5 hours! Given that the one worker was hanging out on his phone a fair amount of the time, I didn't even receive an honest 2 hours of work! I mentioned this to the arborist, and then subsequently to Ted (salesperson) who came out. I told him that it appeared as though he had overestimated the work necessary to prune my trees. He first said we were under contract (I didn't sign any contact) for an amount and didn't know how he would change the amount. Then he said, as I was the first client of the day, I was responsible from 7 am on, when the workers were preparing their truck for the day, despite the fact they didn't arrive at my home until 8:30 am, then hung out in the truck for another 20 minutes. I was also told I was responsible for the travel time to the next job. Ted did confirm he spoke to the team and they had arrived at their next job by 11:00 am. It seems logical to me that the truck-readying costs should be shared by all the jobs of the day, no? Not to mention, why do I have to pay travel time to the next job?
Today, the invoice I received reflected NO reduction in charges, despite the team working half as long as the salesperson said it would take. The invoice didn't even include the 'winter 10% discount' originally offered.
When I contacted the office (branch?) manager - John, he basically reiterated much of what salesperson Ted had said. Advising me that 'they were in business to make a profit.' John did offer to extend me the 10% discount that was originally promised. Guess, I'll receive a corrected invoice?
I'm not sure how this company has been around for so long? I'm guessing all their branches don't treat their customers the way the Webster branch treated me? Maybe, I was treated as such because I am female? All I know is I will never do business with them again. Wish I had visited the BBB first, as it seems as though many others have had unpleasant experiences.
Very disappointed - feel taken advantage of.
