Advocate Construction truly stands behind their name. We have had the pleasure of enlisting their services twice over the past decade due to hail damage. Our reps, Anthony Eaton, who is now the local sales director and Sharom Shabrou were both awesome in advocating on our behalf with the insurance adjuster. They proficiently clarified expectations, established deadlines and provided great follow up throughout the project. They went the extra mile! On both occasions we have found them to be honest and professional, truly deserving a FIVE STAR REVIEW.

I received a flyer on my door from Advocate and it took me back to likely the worst customer service experience of my life. Our service was 6 or 7 years ago, so I hope things have improved. We received a check from our insurance carrier after the adjuster came out and the Advocate company policy at the time was to ask you to sign it over to them ("to speed up service"). Huge mistake on my part in doing so. Once they had the money, everything went downhill. Roof was done relatively quickly, but gutters were done many weeks later. Nobody would respond with an estimate on time, communication was terrible. They didn't do a very thorough job cleaning up the mess, lots of nails all over the yard. I did the roof at my old house and as one person did a much better job with cleanup. Window flashing was loose within a couple of weeks. They were supposed to install gutter covers but didn't. They took months to send paperwork to our insurance company...delaying the release of a check to us ("messing with my money is like messing with my emotions"). Our insurance agent was very critical of the experience with Advocate. Advocate was based out of Chicago. STL office blamed Chicago office, Chicago office blamed STL office. Nobody would respond to calls or emails. Nobody would take any responsibility. Our sales guy quit after making the sale. He had not the best things to say about the company via text after he left. We had several neighbors use them and they did not have good experiences either. It took like 6 months to get our referral fee for our neighbors using them...see photos attached. It took another month and a half to get the referral after these emails. Again, my experience was like 6 or 7 years ago, so hopefully things have improved. I learned that if you have hail damage, you need to speak to your insurance agent before letting anyone up on your roof and let them refer roofing companies. I can post more "receipts" if need be.

Trusting someone you allow on your roof is sometimes necessary. However, when comments made conflict with other appraisers, it's time to move on. Later, I learned a friend hired Advocate 5 ish yrs ago and have had problems since
