Upper Limits Rock Climbing Gym - Maryland Heights

I took a risk in learning something new, considering I have a fear of heights. The instructor Holly was wonderful! She taught us how to safely rock climb. We learned about different outdoor places to climb. She educated us on the basic foundation of the skill of rock climbing. I definitely recommend Upper Limits especially with Holly!

Holly was an incredible instructor! I was a little intimidated to take this class but she made it fun and we learned so much. Highly recommend!

Today, when we went to Upper Limits climbing, my friend couldn't use my guest pass because he wasn't seen as a new customer, even though he hadn't been there in over a year. He ended up paying. After waiting for him for about 30 minutes, we went to check on him. Turns out, he was still doing orientation and a belay test. I mentioned we'd done these before, but they said it wasn't on his file. I asked why he wasn't considered new if he never did orientation. They said sometimes the system messes up. So, because of the system, he had to pay for a day pass and spend 30 minutes doing orientation and a belay test. It doesn't make sense. If everyone needs orientation and his file shows he never did it, shouldn't he be seen as new? I'm not happy because everything falls on us. If they know we're returning customers, they shouldn't waste our time. And if they rely on the system, they should let us use the guest pass if there's no paperwork.
