Villa Duchesne

We experienced a wonderful, quick 4 years for our daughter. The staff communicates with us very well and the school nurse was great with our daughter's severe allergies etc. We really liked the principal, Mrs Steenberge, who was an outstanding mentor for our daughter and many other teachers and counselors, like Mrs Weiss. You could just tell how much they cared for our girls as they prepared them to be young ladies.

This school does a great job communicating with parents and trying to involve them.  The kids Love the cafeteria and the teachers seem very professional and caring.

I do not recommend this school. My 2 girls attended and both left. Villa does not follow through on their end of the contract once they have your money. My daughter is a type 1 diabetic and a 501 health plan was never put into effect. I was told all teachers would be educated on diabetic emergency and know where the glucagon pen would be. It was never done. My daughter was belittled by teachers for checking her blood sugar in class and eating a snack for a low blood sugar. The WORST part from this school happened when our son passed away. We removed our daughter from the school. We had already signed a contact for the next year before we found out about the lack of a safety plan for our daughter. Even though a replacement student came in we paid the tuition in full the summer before school started. Half way through the school year we receive a letter from an attorney asking for the tuition in  full with attorney and legal fees. This came on what should have been our sons 30th birthday. Since we had paid them in full we had to contact our bank , get copies of our cancelled checks and have our lawyer submit proof of our payments. We never received a sympathy card or anything saying how sorry they were for our sons death. They only care about the money. My other daughter was bullied to the point she did not attend the 8 th grade camping trip and almost her graduation.

This is the most wonderful school! The educators, sports, religion and Camaraderie that you will find at the school is excellent!

I went to school here as a young boy. The School is one of the nicest in the country, the grounds and buildings are steeped in history. One of the most wonderful experiences of my young life.
